July 2021 Camping Greenwater and Bethel Ridge
Sorry for the older content, this video has been sitting on my computer unfinished for the longest time.
Anyways, welcome back finally to a new (old) video. LOL.
This time we originally planned to finish sections 7 and 8 of the Washington Back Roads Discovery Route but due to the extreme heat from last summer, they closed all DNR roads.
Everyone already had the days off and was set on camping through the weekend, we decided to head to a new spot we found in Greenwater. Then for night 2, we were planning on finding a dispersed campground near Mt. St. Helens but that was an epic fail so we ended up hitting Bethel Ridge.
Hope you guys enjoy the video, I have a whole cache of content waiting to be edited so stay tuned for a lot more videos coming soon.
Thank you guys for all the support and we really appreciate you!!
Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe.
Thanks again,
OB crew.

Welcome back to the Overland Beanies channel, we really appreciate you guys tuning in. Just wanted to make a quick video to inform you guys on a fantastic discovery I made.. I found the greatest air chuck ever made!! This air chuck is so awesome that I had to make a video and tell the WORLD!! Haha. A day out at Walker Valley ORV, The return to beat the gatekeeper!!
Переглядів 3,3 тис.3 роки тому
So this is the return to Walker Valley to conquer the south gatekeeper with my Toyota Sequoia. This is a few months later than the first time we came out here and I was able to do a few more mods to the truck. I finally got some real rock sliders welded on, shout out to @XO-Fab for doing a great job. I also upgraded to some 35x12.5/18 Kenda Klever RT tires. Anyways, first time past the gatekeep...
Napa Auto Parts Maxi Trac 8ft x 8ft Awning Install - $100!!
Переглядів 3,3 тис.3 роки тому
[This is a re-upload of the earlier video. There were audio technical difficulties before.] So I have to admit that when I first found out about this Maxi Trac Awning that was being sold by Napa Auto Parts for $99.99 plus tax, I was super skeptical about the quality and performance of this awning. I mean, how good can this awning be if its only $100? But that was the exact reason I decided to g...
Camping in the Stampede Pass area.
Переглядів 7523 роки тому
So Kreaper and I decided that we wanted to go camping in the Stampede Pass area for the weekend then Itachi surprised us and said they were coming also. They as in him, AK, and Pax. This was quite a shock to us as AK hates dirt/dust/nature. LOL. But to be fair, it was going to be Pax's first time camping so she couldn't miss that!! Hahaha. Anyways, I think we all ended up having a good time and...

Day 3 starts off waking up at our campsite at Gemini Bridges. We pack up and hit the trail up to where the actual land bridge is located. End up hitting some fun little obstacles on the way. Gemini Bridges was definitely worth the visit. To be able to explore around up there walk across the bridge was so cool. Please, if you plan to visit this place, be very careful as there have been many casu...

Overland Beanies 2021 Moab Trip Day 1
Переглядів 4693 роки тому
So around the end of 2020, we talked about taking a big road trip down to Yosemite to explore and camp the whole trip. Unfortunately with the pandemic, most of the camp sites in Yosemite remained closed with only 1 or 2 sites open for reservations. That being said, we ultimately failed at securing any reservations for our trip. In comes the idea of heading to Moab, Utah instead. We end up dispe...
Overland Beanies First Camping of 2021!!
Переглядів 8733 роки тому
We head out to the Hood Canal/Hoodsport area just up from Hamma Hamma to camp for one night and explore the area the following day. We show how we set up our campsite and some of the camping tools that we use. We also show how we have our trucks set up for sleeping, we tend to sleep in the trucks when the weather is colder but we all do have tent set ups also. Found a great spot next to the Ham...
A day out at Walker Valley ORV
Переглядів 4,3 тис.3 роки тому
We head up to Walker Valley ORV for the day. It's me in my Sequoia, Dave in his 4runner TRD Off Road, and Mike in his Jeep Rubicon. Never been out there before so definitely wanted to check it out. Did my Sequoia make the south gatekeeper? You're going to have to watch to find out. Lol. I guess they just revamped the gatekeeper recently to try to keep stock vehicles out. My Sequoia is not stock...
Alpharex Full LED Headlights on a 2012 Toyota Sequoia Platinum - Install and fix
Переглядів 31 тис.3 роки тому
This is not an install video however, watching this will give you a good understanding at how to install these headlights in a 2nd Gen Sequoia and pretty sure a 2nd gen Tundra. This video will show you how to fix what I think is a major problem with these Alpharex headlights. Well, I guess it wouldn't be such a big problem if Alpharex would release some actual install directions and provided a ...
A little piece of Heaven in Brinnon, WA
Переглядів 1,3 тис.3 роки тому
We take a day trip out to the west side of Hood Canal. I guess the area is called Brinnon, WA. North of Hamma Hamma, WA. End up finding an amazing place to camp in the future that is up by the clouds but we really weren't that high in elevation. Hope you guys like the video, been trying to up the production value of my videos and I'm still learning a ton of stuff. lol. Anyways, if you guys want...

Cle Elum Adventures - Salmon LA Sac area
Hey, man what kind of grill is that? Is it the EAG ? Did you have problems with the hood latch ?
I don't know what brand it is. I did have an issue where the latch broke but I used a plastic epoxy to fix and it was way stronger than before.
@@OverlandBeanies oh okay I have a giant crack on my tundras grill and I wanted to replace it but then I’m looking at the reviews on Amazon or whatever and the most common thing was the latch not working properly makes me worried so I noticed yours is a little bit different than the ones I found
question i have the same headlights now i was wondering how you got the grill lights to work since the alpharex DLR lights has the fuse that gos in the fuse box and the grill has the same how did you get them to work together. im about to buy the same grill
I ran the grill lights to the inside of the cab to my parking lights fuse.
Having the same problem with my Tacomas Alpha Rex luxx series. Might have to give this a try
Nice ride....
Thanks bro.
@@OverlandBeanies hows the awning holding up after these few years?
Really really well. Definitely worth the $120. Lol
@@OverlandBeanies Calling all the NAPAs in my area to try to order it- Thanks
this video is so painful to watch we understand how to make a splice guy get to the point in my lifetime
Are you wearing a mask in the car because your dog has COVID?
Lol, this was 2+ years ago, and everywhere we went required a mask, so I probably just forgot to take it off when I got back in the truck.
Hi, I love the mods you have done. Can you please share the grill details and powder coating experience. And costs if possible.
Hey, sorry for the late response. I got the grill off eBay for almost $300. It came Matte black so no painting was done.
What I need a stripper. This job will never get done.
So you have to have a roof rack to install this thing?
It helps but I've see people install it to the factory roof crossbars.
What grill is that?!? That’s sick
If you look on eBay, you can find the grill.
What is the Grill that you have on? I have 2010 platinum sequoia I would like to use such a grill thank you .
I found mine on eBay. If you search online for TRD style Sequoia grill, you can find it available sometimes. It comes and goes. I had a link but that seller doesn't sell it anymore so the link doesn't work anymore.
Great video. I’m going with the JACO Flow Pro 2.0 tire inflator w/ gauge and 200 lb. air hose, together they’re $72.90. Thanks! 🙏🏼
How did you route the raptor light cables ? I have a 2011 tundra where the grill is attached to the hood like yours
Hey, I routed them along the hood, down to where the hood hinge is, and then along the fender to the battery and fuse box. I'll try to take some pictures when I get home.
Did you disconnect your sways??
Nope, made it through with 35's and rock sliders.
@OverlandBeanies soo I just went and left because apparently the entrance is different than in your video. They added a bigger rock now that I'm not sure I want to go over. I have a ram 4x4 lifted 4in. Your video gave me hope that I would be able to clear the entrance ☹️😢
Oh, man. Yeah, my video was from a year ago, and I haven't been back since. I'm interested in checking it out now though.
The inflator looks exactly like the one from Jaco which already comes with that adapter. So unless you already have the ARB inflator it might be more cost effective to get the Jaco inflator.
Where did you get the Toyota grill?
I found it on eBay.
Where did you get that grill
Hey, I found it on Ebay a while ago. Not sure if it is still available on there. Last time I checked, it was gone but I think I've seen a few places online that have them. If I come across it again, I will shoot you a link.
@@OverlandBeanies thanks I will try and look for it. Do you know what year grille that's for?
Nice job man
You get what you pay for. I would definitely go with Morimoto XB LED. No issue at all!
Great video! I was wondering do you have coordinates to this spot?
I don't have the coordinates but if you head over in that area, there is a road by Hamma Hamma that takes you up to a bunch of trails. It's in that area. Hope that helps.
What grill is that
It's the trd pro knockoff. Lol. Found it on eBay. Will probably switch to an oem trd pro grill eventually.
Grabbed one today, got it for $99 because I asked if they could discount it (it’s now $129 and that’s a good price too). Thanks for the video, nice rig.
Is that the TRD grill on your Sequoia?
Unfortunately, it is not TRD. It's aftermarket off Ebay. Lol
Awesome tip!! Do you need anything else to connect it to the ARB inflator?
Nope, just get the Jaco and swap out the old ARB tip.
@@OverlandBeanies thanks any tips on how to remove the arb air Chuck? Sorry for the dumb question
It's pretty tough to remove. I think there is some sort of adhesive on the threads when they put it together. Just be persistent, give it some hefty torque and it should come off. I have done this to 3 ARB inflators so I know it will work.
Does alpharex not make these anymore? Really want the full LED. Not the projectors.
MODIFY STREET AlphaRex PRO-Series For 07-13 Tundra/08-17 Sequoia Jet Black TRD-PRO look LED crystal Left/Right Replacement Assembly with Activation Light/DRL/Sequential Signal a.co/eZC6MUh
What side of the reservoir was this on?
On the East side, next to the sand dunes.
Thanks very much. Not sure why they couldn’t make it easier.
You do use the yellow wire that's why it's not working if you get the harness without the yellow wire then you don't need to but if your harness comes with the yellow wire plug it into your driver's side headlight that's what I did and it works perfectly
What’s are you using for your fog lights do you have a part # plz
Hey, in this video, I had Auxito led fog light bulbs. Here is the link. AUXITO 9145 9140 H10 LED Fog Light Bulb Fanless, 6000LM Per Set, 3000K Golden Yellow, CSP LED Chips, Fog Light Bulbs or DRL Replacement, Pack of 2 a.co/g0C4HDe
@@OverlandBeanies thank you just got a 2014 limited and doing some changes 🎉
where is the access road to get their? is it from the dunes?
We came from I90, exited off on 17 south, then turned on Rd M SE, turned right on RD 5 SE which turns into Rd J SE. Here is the coordinates of the turn off. 47.000804,-119.279509
This is cool. Is this the north side? Thinking I should take my kids and explore since we never been salmon la sac. Looks pretty cool. You ever camp at that spot there by the water you guys where near?
What size LED do these run? For the low beam and high beam
That is the only drawback on these crystal LED model. The leds are built in so they are not replaceable. I'm sure if you open them up, you can find some sort of replacement but leds are supposed to last 30,000+ hours so I figure I'm good for at least 3-5 years of use.
I have a 21 foot RV. Would you recommend pulling into this area?
I think you might be able to if you don't try to go down to the water. There might be a way further down from where we camped though.
Would love to check this place out! Would a 3rd gen Tacoma with 32”s make it thru the gatekeeper? Stock suspension, but have full skids.
I think if you don't mind sliding over some of the rocks on your skids, and with some careful maneuvering, you can make it.
@@OverlandBeanies I really want to give it a try after watching your vid lol. Thank you
Do you have any problems with the awning on a windy day?
Yeah, I definitely would not set up the awning in very windy weather. Even if you have it staked down really well, wind is unpredictable and stronger than you think.
What kind of grill is that and where do i get one???
It's off of ebay. I don't know if it's still available though.
If you had this much issues with the gate keeper. Other trails must have give you lots of problems. This is a 30 sec gate crossing.
I actually didn't make it past the gate keeper that day. I did come back later after I upgraded to 35's and rock sliders and made it through fine.
@@OverlandBeanies I go there often. Have a Toyota pickup. 37 swampers, full external roll cage, dual cases. Propane. Rocks, and Ron's run no problem.
I have a 2002 bone stock Sequoia four wheel drive! I was at the gate before to discover my 2000 WJ broken four-wheel drive low! So the Sequoia would have to do it for now! You have a second gen Sequoia with a lift on it?
Man, that's awesome!! How did your 1st gen Sequoia do that day? Yeah, I have a 2012 Platinum with a Revtek 2" spacer lift. Waiting for my Dobinsons 2.5" suspension to come in.
@@OverlandBeanies looking for some rock sliders. Then hopefully the Walker Valley gate. I might just go without the sliders,
I would definitely get sliders before you go. Denting your pinch welds and rocker panels are no fun. Lol. I landed on my factory side steps the first time I tried to get past the gate.
@@OverlandBeanies well I went to Rieder hills last weekend. Should have went to Walker valley ! Twizzler trail is crazy narrow I got hung up on the first popsicle to tree stumps luckily not rocks. How'd the stock rocks to get back out... Oh it was rated a green trail. Second easiest one there.
Where did you get that grill I’ve been trying to find one for my 2011
I found it on eBay a while ago. Not sure if they are still available on there though.
Great video. I notice you put green recovery boards under tires. What's the purpose? Also can you list coordinates on some of these great camp sites in the future? Thanks and I cant wait to get out overlanding as well
We put the recovery boards under the tires to level out the truck.
Nice! My type of outing. Sub’b!
Let me know the next trip pare
I go to Walker ORV all the time, motor through and over the rocks, not an issue. Toyota 85 on 37's Super Swampers. Also full cage, double transfer case. Propane powered. No challenge there for me.
Lol. You should be crawling over the yellow gates with your setup, not just the gatekeeper rocks!!
Should be the ultimate playground for your vehicle!
Sweet I will be going wabdr section 1 and 2.
Hi..where can I order that same toyota grill?
I found mine on eBay but I don't know if it's still available.
@@OverlandBeanies thanks
Any issues with lights after a year? Condennsation or anything else?
Nope, no problems at all.
After adding the jaco air chuck can you still use the inflator to check air pressure without having it hooked up to a air line ?
I'm pretty sure you still can. I will check and confirm.
How does the crystal led look? I’m caught between the crystal LED and PROJECTOR LED
Is there any fees to get into this area? Any way of knowing if this is BLM land or ?? Cool video. Thanks
Thanks for checking out the video. I don't know if it is BLM land but there were others camped out further down the shore. No fees where we were. There is actually a whole sand dune off road area above where we camped at.
Will you loose the auto adjusting in the 2012 toyota tundra rockwarrior? I like having this feature in my truck
I think you do lose the auto adjusting. Pretty sure that feature is built into the factory headlights.
