Perfect Paladin Guide - Gothic II: NotR
Guide proving versatile Paladin is a thing. Showing how to utilise all kinds of combat as well as quests and building tips on all stages of the game.

Sound like a nice build! I can provide a few recommendations for the new players from my side: 1.) You can equip "Rod's sword" instead the "Rusty axe". It requires 10 less str and provides 40 dmg as well. But it has far better length, which could help to attack from distance and save healing potions -> save more money at the start of the game. 2.) I would recommend cleaning "The valley of Mine" in chapter 2/3. At least orc siege around the castle, or orcs/lizard man. As some of them will respawn in chapter 4
@@TheOne-lc2fz Honestly I choose to avoid Rod's Sword due to it being a sword. Fighter moveset is more suitable to axes/hammers. Besides we got Halberd before getting to Onar's farm which is superior. About Valley of Mines. Killing Orcs in Chapter II doesn't make any more respawns than it should. Yet again, more immersion focused approach. Both options obviously are viable though

@@sowakuzmanovic7392 love the enthusiasm but it doesn't seem to make sense to happen. Honestly Mage isn't enjoyable. It may look fine and well on the video but generally Runes are very lacking and constant Mana drain is frustrating. Perhaps a sort of skipping/speedrunnig approach could work but optimizing such build would be madness and not sure If I would advise one

Won't it be more optimal to get to 29 strength and than get 5 more points up to 34 in one go for just 5 more learning points? It also works with dexterity and with weapon skills. Might be a bug though. Or a feature. Another mention i would like to make is about prayers, why get 5 strength from innos early on? I prefere to use up all the bonuses only when i am far into the game and all skills cost like 4 learning points per increased point. It is a prety good strategy guide though.
@@Alexandru1996_ utilising 29+5 strategy is obviously in place. There is a certain amount of Strength for LP you want, after that using any bonuses is in the menu. Check pinned comment

I don't get the part at 3:50 - 4:00 from where did you get 40 strength to wield first axe and another 24 lp for 2h weapons?
@@guthak10movie8 You get 34 Strength after 24 LP, you are free to drink Elixir from the ship and start praying. With base belt you are easily over 40 Strength. About getting 24 LP into 2H, I didn't. It means that next 24 LP should be put into 2H training. Check out pinned comment with detailed points distribution

you dont need to use the sleep spell for the guard, you can jump on Thorben`s cupboard, climb on the roof, jump over onto the roof of Mateo's house and then enter the storage from there.
also I used diego to clear out almost all orks :)
@@Br4Ker if I ever do another, will try to show alternative. Was trying to keep it immersive (dialog with Lares advices such practice). For similar reasons I avoided fighting Orcs with Diego. More fun with the Runes in Chapter V

Why would you waste your praying points for strength this early? That's just incredibly stupid.
Apparently you aren't the brightest and have no clue how learning attributes and distributing bonuses works. In order to provide you required education I will answer. Simply because there will be no more LP investment into Strenght and every bonus is a fair game since then.

Sadly I find Chapther VI to be just a chore. There isn't really much upgrading you can do there and honestly I am speedrunning it without distributing any more LPs. Build realistically achives its endgame potential around level 35-41 still leaving a lot of content to do afterwards

Xardas did an Oooopsie to rune magic. also going out of mana because you are outnumbered around 500 to 1
Make another one dude... G1 or even G3. It's great.
This is the kind of power gaming that I love. Unfortunately, it offers less replay-ability, because whenever you start a new playthrough you always know at the back of your mind that you have done a more optimized run.
As i remember using boost items in low ep increase your skill cost level
This is probably the best guide out there for Gothic 2. It would be great to see other builds as well.

SACK LUTSCHER
There is a pick-axe behind the windmill in Lobart's farm. Its a decent first two handed weapon too. The sacred hammer deals like 60 dmg. I usually go for that after the pick axe.
I would love to see an Hybrid build for Gothic 1.
Pretty balanced build. You can deal high damage with a sword,crossbow and magic.
33:49 There is a way to get that armor in g1. Find a guard that has it,drop some weapon on the ground close to him,use the control scroll on him,pick up the weapon to unlock his inventory and open up his inventory and drop the armor and whatever else he has in his inventory. Its kinda of a glitch,but whatever...
Look at that. Will give it a go next G1 playthrough. Innos knows we deserve that armour
@@Cheveliery dont do it to any npc that is standing guard,they are locked into that position and you will need to go marvin mode to unlock them. Do it to some guard that is walking around.

I had 220 strenght with one-hand dragon slayer 160dmg as dragonhunter. Nextime I will play as mage. I finished the game as paladin mabye 20x :D This is the best game in my opinion..
How you managed 220 strength?
@@sorinsandru4484 with 94 strenght I drank all strenght potions, red all stone plates and etc. Then I finished chapter 5 with 36lvl. I was able to do 2 potions from dragons eggs(20eggs) I used +10str belt. In the end I had 220 streght… also there is one dragon root near the chamber with ork leader
You nailed it my dude. This build is amazing and the game knowledge. You played the game like it is supposed to be if you want to be the hero. The only thing I don't like about this vid is the English dubbing. Compared to Polish, German or Russian it just sucks :D
I learned English by basically listening to UA-cam and playing this game dozens of times. This dub sounds good to me.
I agree with Polish and German one but I think Russian dub is by far the worst one
Hey Man, nice Video! When you say to put 24 points into strength and 2H. Do you mean to Level to 24 points or putting in the 24 points? Because that isn‘t possible with the amount of LP you get.
Hey! Generally I mean to use this amount of LP. It also doesn't mean that you should have level 5 already. Strength is more important and right after you put next 24 LP into 2H. Not necessarily straight away but when you finally have it. There is also link in my other comment with detailed LP investment

I N S A N E guide. While I cannot stand that kind of gameplay because it feels forced and I won't enjoy my playthrough. It was very pleasant to watch, easy to follow and fun to read your comments on NPCs. I subscribed in case you upload more videos like this one.
