I bought one of these on accident I wanted to buy the original one instead of the controller if that makes sense I can't use it other then for just midi controller because I have Windows 10 and this I guess is only able to be installed on Mac and Windows Xp I just wanted to know is there any way I could use it for something else other then a midi controller I don't know to much about this stuff I just new I wanted one Thanks

Hey legionhwp, I have the MS 20 controller as well and I couldn't figure out yet, how the software recognizes the position of the knobs and patches in the very beginning when I start the program. I always have to turn all the knobs that the software recognizes their actual position. Is there a way the software can do that on its own? Thanks very much for your answer!!! Its a great help.

how easy should it be for the legacy collection software to recognize the midi? my ms 20ic is not recognized in my mac upon plugging it in, although plugging it in is enough to turn the little power LED red. a little dialog opened when first starting the program, i chose to rescan for MIDIs and nothing arrived. i have the windows software running thru crossover so that i can use it on a mac. other people told me this worked for them. is this not true? should the midi me recognized? could it be a problem with the ms 20?

Is it normal that the knobs don't scale precisely with the software? All knobs reach the end in the software interface before I reached the very end on the hardware's relative knob. Is this normal? I would like to have it more 1:1. All knobs get to the very end or very beginning to their values when I'm one unit below or above them in the hardware. So for example, changing the cutoff frequency on the hardware from 0 to 1 does nothing, because 1 is zero.

Cool demo. :-) I had a PSS-460 back in the day. For a cheap, non-MIDI, "consumer", model keyboard, it was pretty cool. It's actually an underrated keyboard & can produce some really cool/unique sounds. I have a dozen+, vintage & modern, "professional" keyboards/synths, but I'd like to get another PSS-460, even just for reasons of nostalgia.

Just to add that this controller isn't all plastic - sure, it's not the real deal, nor the MS-20 'Mini' version but it's pretty well made, surprisingly heavy too. Feel great to use and I'm pleased you highlighted the bonus of the control aspect; sound-alike or not, the 'use' is an important factor rarely touched on these days. Great that it also works with the iMS-20 iPad app!

The Korg site says it has now released a VST Host Version of the MS 20 yet it can not be located anywhere. Downloads section refers to korg users forum for download but there is nothing there.

This thing was over $100 when it came out I remember my school had about 10 of them in the library and the classes would take turns about an hour a week doing speak-n-spell.
