Well, we were actually able to keep it a secret for another 2 weeks after we got back home! Leading up to the trip, they were going to spend the week with their grandparents, so they were busy packing for themselves. They didn't see our suitcases hidden in the closet, and we would add to them after the kids went to bed. And when they got picked up for their Grandparent Week, we ran to get the suitcases, and we were out of the door 15 minutes later. We spilled the beans because we knew they would see something on our channel that would give it away. #momguilt

It's such a good, sweet show!

Oh thank you! Love those facts! We'll be looking for the Pooh treehouse nautilus next time. And that is so good to know about the drop size. Because of the dark, it feels so much longer than 14 feet!

Isn't that such a cool thing? We have been watching other families do this experience for a while, and we've seen a couple people get twins. We always hoped for it, but we were over the moon excited when it happened!

Thank you so much. He was a truly magnificent man and an even better father, father-in-law, and grandfather. We are so grateful that we were able to have this truly special trip with him earlier this year. This UA-cam channel was started because of him and his love of Disney UA-camrs, so we feel like we can honor him with each and every memory.

Audrey and David (and their creativity) never cease to amaze me. Both parents will celebrate the big 4-0 on our next birthdays - so we will see what the kids have up their sleeves. ;)

If I'm understanding correctly, it was because he already had a taller R unit at home from a couple years earlier. He wanted the shorter one. But he ended up being in love with the finished result.

Mom Dory here. I'm 39, and I secretly love when my kids do this because it's one of the coolest things to do in Disney. And I think going with a classic is always a good choice!

I’ve made an R unit (R3-FR) and a C unit (C-RTYN “Crayton”). Love em both, but if you’re gonna make a C unit, use the wheel central leg. That was one of my mistakes. Either way, don’t go with a BB. My friend made one. They’re really difficult to control and don’t last long at all. (If you’re going to display your droid, take the batteries out so they don’t corrode.)

This was at Disney World in Hollywood Studios (or as we still call it in our family - MGM)

We did that on our first trip. That entire experience is spectacular, and I'll admit that I cried.

@@captainfishbones652 Yes they do, and apparently that is good enough for folks like us. For the most part I have found that a lot of people forget or just don't unless they hear it. BTW are we the only ones who have posted comments for this awesome family? And nice to meet you.

Haha! None of us knew how to answer the tree! Was he mocking us? Making a comment on humanity? Being silly? What's funny is that we carry around our own hand soap which IS a peppermint scent, so in the back of my head, I thought, "How does he know that?!?" Haha!!

It really is a cool experience! We found when we went back for the soft opening, it was much less crowded. I especially love how there are multiple stations of the same activity, so many people can do the same thing at once.
