Led light bulbs mess up the range on the older operators. Change the led bulbs first.

then you plug out it will erased memory, back to 5v. Seem useless to me

    • @hitmanhite8958

The reason you are going back to 5V and the video did not address it, is because you need a USB to USB cable, and most important, the power source you are plugged into must be a PD port. If not it will never negotiate the correct voltage and will divert back to 5v and more than likely flash blue. Interesting no one ever addressed this and here this video sits, in You Tube hell unanswered. Your welcome.

To make the antenna even more effective, connect the new wire extension to one of the L-shaped steel struts supporting the garage opener unit, making metal-to-metal contact via a bolt, washer and nut. It yields even greater range.

Connect a 100 Watt linear amplifier to the remote and see if you can open it from interstate during Skip.

I added wire to my receiver antenna that made the length a 5/8 wavelength at 315 mHz. 22 and 5/16 inch was the final length. Worked MUCH better.

Took me about 5 minutes to fix my Whimpey 5 inch antenna. I put on about 20 inches of thin insulated wire (scrap from old speaker wire) and walked down the street about 80 yards before it stopped picking up the signal. REALLY going to save on batteries because it would not open half the time while I was sitting in my 20 ft driveway. Thank you for the time you took to put this vid up.
