@kevinmithnick9993 actually the old Carrier DM and DK were great chillers some still Running today. If you compare a Carrier 19 XR with a Pic controller vs a york YK optiview york is light years ahead. Just look at Yorks new YZ low pressure chiller just amazing
What I like the most from optiview was the possibility to customize trend views, also response time from the inputs being shown in the optiview screen Now I'm starting a Journey with carrier chillers. To me At the end of the day it's just people making a living, some of them with good products some of them More greedy... Good thing for servicemen is all of them gives us a lot of fun
Ex USAF Refer/Cryo tech . I Had a several Cryo freezers ( cascade systems ) on an installation decades ago. I hate domestic refers but like commercial reach in boxes .
This old guy loves Bromide and ammonia absorbers ( Yep ). those Damn centrifugals have ruined My ears after just a few years in the trade . Do yourselves a favor wear your ear plugs or muffs .

Carrier chillers are junk.Even the liquid low vsd's are junk. Buy a york YK.
Can't go wrong with a york. The Rockwell/reliance drives are garbage.

What about magnetic bearings? They tend to be quieter... Also absorbers need a waste heat source, don't they?
