Nice one Phil, did my mountain rescue training there. Wonderful terrain.
Cheers mate appreciate it, it is a great terrain, never tire of it, love it. 😉👍
Been going to Roseberry Topping since I was a kid and still try and get up there once a year, every year, always a good fitness tester at the beginning of the year. Those stone steps are great protecting the Fell but in the wet or the frost, they are lethal. Great walk out, cheers Alan
Cheers Alan, yeah it’s a great walk with cracking views, right on the doorstep really. I must admit that although it’s not that high it does take out of you. cheers for watching mate and for the sub.😉👍
Hi mate, i was only up that way a few months ago hiking Scafel Pike.. i love seeing that crystal clear water up that way 😊 Top vid mate 👌

Thanks mate, cheers for watching 😉👍
Nice location 👍🙂
cheers mate, just subbed you back and will check out your channel, Thanks for watching 👍
Hey Phil, good video. Lovely scenic shots and informative. That's an impressive looking crag , for its size. The cave was very interesting. The Lakes is an area I'd like to explore more but I'm concentrating on the Munros atm. I'm looking forward to catching up on some of your videos. ATB Andy
Thanks for the great feedback Andy, always nice to hear. it’s funny as I have not been hiking in Scotland much and is somewhere I intended to venture next year. your videos have given me the push to get up there. cheers for tuning in mate and take care😉👍
@PhilDodsworthOutandAbout no probs Phil. You'll be spoilt for choice in Scotland. ATB Andy
Ohh lovely, was thinking of doing this one, looks nice and easy. Instead I was daft enough to walk 16 miles to bivi in a woodland. I'm beginning to question my life choices and zeb the dog is no longer speaking to me. Vlog coming soon, although I didn't film much of the walk as I was rushing to get to the woods before dark. P.s. where do you get your music?
Thanks for watching, it is an easy one with some amazing scenery. poor dog😂. I get my music from the editing app CapCut. can’t wait to see your next video. take care 😉👍
@PhilDodsworthOutandAbout yeah to to high so surely I couldn't be unlucky enough to get mist.
Lucky guy that Dalton by the sound of it...👍
@krisoutdoors yes, I was thinking the same thing.
Nice one Phil. I enjoy the fact that you visit more obscure places. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers Graeham, thanks for the kind words, I love a bit of a story to where I visit👍👍
Looks amazing, thank you! 😊
Thanks mate, it is a stunning view from the top👍
Your car must have more miles on than a City Taxi now 😅
ha ha ha, class….love it 👍😂
Class video mate. Really interesting. I need to check these locations out. Thanks
Thanks Chris lad, you would love it mate, cheers for watching 😉👍
Morning Phil, cracking video mate. Castle Crag is on my winter list this year. I plan on ticking off the smaller single ones. All the best mate, Dave 😀🥾⛰
Thanks Dave, lovely little peak it is with some cracking views. Get yourself up there in the snow, will be amazing 👍
Cracking camp and walk. I love it up in the Far Eastern Fells. Did you make it up onto High Street?
No Dave, it was like pea soup when we got up to the tarn, so we come back down. excuse to go back. love it mate. cheers for watching pal👍

What fantastic views. Lovely video Phil. Reminds me how much I miss living up north and hiking in the lakes. That’s inspired me to make a trip up there. 👍🏻😊
thanks so much mate, glad you enjoyed it and hope you get over there soon. even better in winter 😉👍
@@PhilDodsworthOutandAbout I need to get some winter gear first I think. Mind you I used to do it in jeans and a kagool in the 80s 😂
wow those cravings are interesting. that 1818 date almost looks like it was done by a machine. the number eight is nearly perfect.
all the older carvings were perfectly done, must have taken a while. thanks for watching 👍
I'd heard about this site, but never visited it. Thanks for taking us on another excellent exploration, Phil. Beautiful views and a fascinating location.👌👍
Thanks Paddy, and thanks for the encouragement. cheers Phil👍
I don't like taking the --ss but Cheviot is known as a hill not a mountain, The Mackems are great fun! They know where to come Our Northumberland, Some of us Geordies may not like this but those Sunderland folk were part of Northumbria as it went down to the river Humber! We love each other really apart from the few divs! Cheers Mark!
Cheers for keeping me right Mark, they are all mountains to me mate as I struggle to get up them all 😂. Love a bit of banter…👍
new subscriber, just reading Benjamin Myers book about St Cuthbert, your video really helped visualise the landscape, its beautiful and, as someone with family in the north east its does the heart good to see it looking so splendid. congratulations on a great video.
Thanks so much for subscribing Daniel, it’s much appreciated. I have subbed you back. I’m so glad my video helped you in the way you said it did, it’s great to hear. 😉👍
Interesting place Phil, it is not too far from where I live and I have never been. I will have to put that right. Great stuff. Cheers. Eddie.
Thanks Eddie, it’s funny we don’t tend to see what’s close to us until you hear it from someone else. or we just take it for granted. it’s a great little spot for a cuppa. cheers for tuning in. 👍
Nice one Phil. Stunning views and a cracking spot for your camp. I enjoyed that 👍
Thanks so much for taking the time to watch, I loved it mate. can’t wait to get back out. stay tuned 😉👍
I like hearing about the history of where ya are Philip. Very interesting 😊great video 👍🏻
Thanks Lindsay, I just love being OutandAbout, by the way, they were cheese sandwiches. 😂 I know you were wondering 👍
Great stuff, learnt a bit there. Brings back happy memories of doing St Cuthberts Way 👍🏻
Yeah mate, St Cuthbert’s way is a great walk. I got lucky with the weather. OutandAbout again tomorrow, let’s see where we end up👍
