    8 years ago, huh? Thankfully some things stay on UA-cam seemingly for ever! Thanks for uploading this super simple instruction. It sure beats using an oxy torch! Mine have the slide release in one arm and the rotary lock release in the other but they're easy to work out. Thanks again.

    Thank you for this video! I have a 94 Fleetwood Flair. I'm reupholstering the cloth captain's chairs with my total remodel. I have a problem with the driver's chair rubbing on the booth when swiveled. So I needed to alter the arm rest. This made it so much easier when sewing my new seat covers. I appreciate you sharing this content!

    OMG THANK YOU! I was about to dismantle the entire chair. I when through EVERYTHING else first. I did this and I haven't gotten them out yet but it definitely does. This. It's a 1993 Chevy Vandura Captains chair. I bolted it to my floor for a sim rig I built. It's made for long trips so I figured it was the best seat in and WEC Racecar. Lol. But I'm short. The arm rests are all wrong. Your the MAN! THANK YOU

    Takes over 300lbs you say... but have you tried climbing up past the half way folding point? - You can't really positively praise something unless you've tested it's full claimed abilities - yet you are doing just that!

    How much is the carburetor cost?

  • @bobbyd9583
    @bobbyd9583 6 років тому

    1.) the carb does have a drain. Remove the fuel shut off solenoid.... carb is empty TADA! 2.) Your Gen lopes under load because as the motor gets loaded down it opens the throttle but it goes lean. This is not the idle circuit it's the main metering circuit. 3.) You do not use the concentrated B-12 fuel system treatment. You get a can of B-12 chemtool carb cleaner with a straw. You disassemble the carb and clean it. 4.) Proper cleaning of a fouled carb means running very fine wire into orifices to dislodge blockages. The B-12 will help break them down small enough to be blown out. 5.) You only need to replace the carb when it is not serviceable. Not serviceable means that it is physically broken, either mounting ears broken off, throttle shaft bent and no longer turns or cannot be removed and replaced (I LOVE when people try to use a screwdriver to pry a stuck carb off....) Unit has corroded to the point where it leaks air or fuel. 6.) I just cleaned the carb on a 4kw onan that has sat in the desert for 20 years with less than 2 hours on it. The fuel had solidified in EVERY passage. It took me less than an hour to tear the carb apart, clean it completely, re-assemble it, re-install it and fire up a gen-set that had sat for 2 decades.

    Ar you still filming? What part of Florida do y'all reside? We're in the Plant City area and we recently purchased a 1995 Bounder 34 J (Ford) and I, like you would like to be able to use both A/Cs at the same time. My control panel however looks noting like yours...Any idea on how I can accomplish this? Thanks!

    • @ramblingarnolds4501
      @ramblingarnolds4501 7 років тому

      Hey there Barrett! We are still filming, actually have 2 more videos going up in the next week. We are over in Tampa so kind of right around the corner! Congrats on your new Bounder! It's a very fun coach, we love ours! For the A/Cs, not sure how your system is done but for ours we added the largest hard start capacitor kit we could. It allows us to start both A/Cs on 30amp only but we do have to monitor the power. Hope that helps!

    • @BarrettRSmith
      @BarrettRSmith 7 років тому

      Colin, Would you provide me with the mfr and model of the capacitors you used on Barry? I'll have to have an electrician install them (unless you're available;-) as I don't posses the knowledge required. I'll also need to get a four position switch (i.e. off, front-on, rear-on, both-on) and any sources, suggested parameters and recommendations would be most appreciated. I just installed LED flood lights at my rear bumper. I welded-in nuts to attach the light brackets and wired them and it came out nice. If you'd like pics I can send them via e-mail. Glad to see you're up and around and doing 5-Ks. Good stuff! Thanks for any assistance you may provide. Barrett
