It fishes a little unique I feel like. I generally fish the grass clumps that are offshore. I use my 360 to find hidden grass clumps out in front and deeper than everyone else, i throw a 3/4 oz california swim jig with a 5.5in swammer, i cast across the clump and plow that bait right thru the heart. Fish dont see a bait presented that way often. Its my most productive and works year round 3-5 double digits a year

Jared is using a 7’5” HF oldschool gloomis rod. Can’t find them anymore and G-loomis does not make anything like that anymore. Scenko Stix makes a 7’6” HF(Reed Beater) that is even better. Same action but more sensitivity. Actually getting Jared to make the switch after he used it a few times. He was using a Gambler ninja jig. 3/4oz black n blue. 65lb suffix performance braid. Yes. Lake did come back up. Heard it is still fishing really good. Took 30lbs to win last weekend. I haven’t been able to beat my PB yet. 10lbs 13oz when I was 7 years old. If we keep at it, we will someday break that. Tight lines🎣

Black and blue is a must have in Florida. Bluegill colors are good for spring and summer time due to bluegills bedding. Overall, black and blue is my go to. Water color also plays factor, sometimes a white or lighter color is better if water is stained🎣

Would be an excellent rod. I have him build my frog rod custom only to get it in a 7’4 because that is what I am used to. I was not. Using a Gambler Senko slow dragging around bedding fish. Water depth was maybe 1.5 to 2ft deep
