@@TheDividendWealthBuilder I am diving a 2009 Prius now 320.000+ km. However that prius simply can't match tesla model efficiency. 45L - 750km or 30L- 500km. 30L = 300kWh. Tesla 70 kWh = 500km No serviicing, no complex ICE/Gear box, top safety, FSD soon.

Full tank 45 pound I get 519miles, to fully charge a tesla model 3 will cost around 42 pounds and get 374miles. I wonder if Tesla battery will last 320.000+km. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against EV's, but I believe there's room for improvement and the energy price to drop :))

@@TheDividendWealthBuilder I really don't care much about the CO2 scaremongering, but definitely care about economics. So fully agree on your reluctance given the energy prices you subjected to. Our environment seems more benign towards EVs. My recently renewed contract for electricity is ~0.3 Euro/kWh. Gasoline is ~2.00 Euro/L. For that 500 km this amounts to 70 x 0.3 = 21 Euro for EV. For that 500 km this amounts to 30 x 2 = 60 Euro for my Prius. It may take a (geo)political reorientation for energy prices to drop. That's a whole different can of worms. The geopolitical structure is fundamentally being rearranged by the BRICS and especially US/UK are still very much in denial. The inevitable defeat in Ukraine seems only to make our political class ever more frantic.
