Fall Single Track Enduro ride with Stable Mountain in Idaho
I cruised up to southeast Idaho to hang with my good friends and fellow guides Aaron Case and Ryan Searle from @stablemtn . They operate some wicked enduro tours in that area. If you haven't been I highly recommend visiting them. Just don't forget to invite me. Anyway, Aaron unfortunately smoked a tire early on in the ride, followed by Ryan. Tubeliss guys.. lol.
This area has some great flowly lines and we had a blast. Saw some elk and deer on the adventure and the willows destroyed my body. Can't wait to get back up there next year.

The crew heads south! @DezertSlayer joins us on an adventure down near St.George. There isn't enough snow to ride sleds so we figured we would go ride the desert. After the 5MOH ride my son was ready for some more enduro. This time we put a 18" wheel on his Gas Gas MC125. This isn't exactly an enduro bike, but you be the judge on how well he did. We operate motorcycle tours in this area, hit us...

How do you like that new suspension? How much better is it than stock?
It's 100 times better than stock. It completely transformed the bike. I'm very happy with the upgrade.
Let it snow! MAGA NATION 2024-2036+!!🎉🎉
Love it. What tires are you guys running and size? Thnx
We are rocking a 16/19 setup from @ChargedCycleWorks on our Light Bee's
There once was a ship that put to sea The name of the ship was the Billy O' Tea The winds blew up, her bow dipped down Oh blow, my bully boys, blow (huh) The beat matched up what can i say
what a day !!
Looks great
Available testing for shear is my guess.
Extended column test, checking for propagation. Which we got full propagation.
Hate when people do this and don’t say anything.. like is it safe or is it not safe
Looks safe, he has to raise his hand above his head 😂
It’s just an observation. A snow pit will never determine safety. But, this shows collapsing and propagation on a weak layer. All we can gather is it's unstable.
Pretty deep, harder to trigger, look how much he had to do to trigger it, but if it goes, it's gonna be an issue
Ski's or a board will be cutting deeper than that and would trigger a slide.
Keep it under 30’
That is amazing!! Safety like always.
I thought u were about to start rapping 😅...
About to rapping? He edditted it
It crossed my mind 😂😂😂😂
Should we go or should we not- imma bout go home and fire up that crock pot- weak layer - shite…. I’m a peak slayer! (Only in an upright and stable snowpack) Ohhh snap cuz
@@torbot_ you should go, just avoid avalanche terrain on the north and north east aspects.
@@Mountainslayerz indeed- I was just trying to rap- key word; trying…
Does your beep multiple times when the rear wheel stops?
It does not
@Mountainslayerz thats odd mine does i ended up unplugging the display
@@johnnyrichardson6774my guess is you’re on an EX800. I just remembered that when you’re using the fardriver app. I think you can turn the sound off in the app.
oh yes!
yeeeah !
Never been on a snowmobile looks fun af fr
They are a blast!
nice !!
so clean !!
yessss!!
🔥🔥🔥🔥
oh yessss 🤘🤘🤘
sheeeeshh !!
all this looks amazing guys !
rockinggg !! 😎
yeeessirrr ! 🤟🤟🤟
Single track 😂😂😂😂
Bahaha you guys are posers trying to be something on a fake social Media platform
Miles and miles of whoops!
Yeah some trails were whoop city!
That's a tough ride all right. I would be rocking in an auto clutch for that type of riding. Would avoid all those kills and restarts as well as get you up things even better. Nice video.
Thanks! This ride I let him have e-start, normally he rides a 125MC and has to kick it 😂. But that wouldn’t have been fun on this day.
Good fun!!! Still need to hit that damn trail! 😅
Well get back to Utah and lets go!
@ was just looking at bike rentals for a hot lap out there. 👀
With you guys. Lol
Ski-dooing 💪💣💥❣
Just a couple rocks😂
Just a couple! At one point in the ride my kid was like "when is this going to end?!? ... Never!!! haha
Nice riding guys and gal! I really enjoyed the video. One of my favorite places to ride. It is always the best feeling to see my son progress, so I know exactly how you feel. Keep the vids coming and keep rippin! 🤘
Yeah there is so much good riding in that area. Thanks for the support! Not sure if you live down in that area but we will probably be back down for Thanksgiving. If so we should link up and ride.
@@Mountainslayerz ya there is a ton of riding out there. I live up in the Salt lake area. The in-laws live down in St. George. I actually will be down there for Thanksgiving, but the plan is MTBing with the family. If that changes I will let you know for sure. Do you live down there? If not Thanksgiving maybe link up another time.
@@splatoffroad I live in Saratoga actually. We operate tours in the St.George area though so we get down there quite a bit.
@@Mountainslayerz oh nice! That's cool. We will keep in touch and get out one of these times.
So sick! 🤘🏼
You better come up and ride this winter!
You guys have a really capable crew there. You might as well get down to Arizona and ride the trails near Prescott/Mayer. It's the perfect time of year to get down there.
Yeah, the plan is to get out with the Flo Motorsports guys down there. They run some crazy stuff.
I can't believe your kid has grown up so much! Can't wait to ride with him.
Right? We might be back down for Thanksgiving. It would be awesome to get out. It's been forever.
Great footage! I'm impressed how quickly you edited it.
Catch of the day 😎
Smooth operator! 😂 that would have sucked had you not been there
Those turbos came in handy for carrying the skis across the creek!
Oh yes! And trying to ride behind Steve is a challenge itself where the turbo is handy haha
I like how you change to each others perspectives.
Thanks! It made putting together the video really easy.
Did that GasGas have bib mousse inserts instead of tubes? Reason I ask is that watching your son ride made me think of the first time I rode a bike with Mousse inserts. I was a moto guy and to me the mousse inserts reacted way different than tubes. They deflected more off of rocks and kicked back more than I was expecting which caused a lot of small balance issues. It took me a few rides to get used to it for sure.
Yes, it has bibs. That is a really good point. I think his biggest issue was managing his energy. He rides like he's on the track and I've had to teach him to scale it back a bit to last the duration of the ride. Even at the track he's got a mentality to ride until he's pretty much dead. I'm constantly saying just run 30 minutes and I'll wave you in, an hour and a half later he's still out there. On the flip though since this video he's progressed a lot. I'm getting ready to put out another video from this past weekend. It's wild the improvement.
@@Mountainslayerz So cool watching the kids progress! He did awesome on that trail. I rode it last weekend and some very experienced riders with me struggled more than he did, so he should definitely feel great about how he performed on the ride. His experience reminded me a lot of the first few real harder enduro rides I went on as a moto guy. Moto uses those fast twitch and sprint muscles, big movements and sitting to standing transitions alot, and fitness comes into play faster. Hard Enduro seems to be more of a slow burn. It sneaks up on you cause it feels a little easier than moto at first but then a couple hours later, its pretty clear that you've been slowly wearing yourself out. Especially if you were picking the bike up alot after multiple tipovers like me. Bike feels pretty light the first couple tipovers, but the 40th and 50th tipovers it feels way heavier. Glad you're out enjoying the bikes with your kid! Keep it up. I enjoyed the video.
My dudes🤘🏼🤘🏼 well, DJ’s my dude. Gonna have have to shred with Steve before we’re dudes, but Surely, we’ll become dudes as well.
Yeah buddy! We can't wait! The snow is falling!
Good review thanks. Do you know how tall your son is? trying to decide what size to get for my son, he's 1.2m or 47 inches tall and don't want him to out grow it too soon. Thanks
My kid is currently 4'5". I went with the 18 because of that same thing. I didn't want the 16 because I knew he'd grow out of it quick but the 20 was too big for him and I didn't want him to struggle riding it.
Love me some creek bashing
Never ending excitement! Especially with Steve. His little 146 leaves the biggest holes.
@ haha I can only imagine!
I can’t believe no one went for a swim 😂
Haha! For real. That was such a rad day.
It was better than a kick in the nuts!
Sweet! Pumped for the season.
It won't be long!
Nice edit!!
Thank you! Was a fun one to put together.
I love dead cow! One of my favorite trails!
Right?! Such an awesome area to ride. We've got to make sure we keep it open.
@@Mountainslayerz For sure!
Ya cameras never do the terrain justice. That's a gnarly climb.
True that. My kid is now doing it on big bikes. Pretty cool to see how the electric world helped him get rolling in the enduro world
The shot with the red rock was beautiful
We have some amazing terrain in Utah! Crazy backdrops. That one is one of my favorites!
You can see your son getting better as the ride progresses. Nice work!
Thanks! I now need to get him past the track mentality. When he rides he goes as hard as he possibly can. Getting him to pace himself is challenging.
