It a fun one. Was actually a challenge when I was new to Udio and wanted to show Bislobo what its capable of. I challenged him during his stream to give me any genre/topic and made this track based on that.

The link to the song on Udio is in the description. You can see the prompts on that page. Originally I wanted to go more for BMTH vibes, but imo sounds more like stuff like Asking Alexandria. I have a playlist with some other Metalcore/Deathcore songs (e.g. "Lost Generation" that goes more in the Architects direction) where I also prompted some breakdowns. Kinda didnt bother with that in this track.

@@esomerciless Do you know of any AI music makers where you can type in a bands name and have it generate some similarities in the music? I have been trying but Suno AI mostly just says it can't be done because they do not have permission.

Not realy, no. There are ethical questions about the use of AI, but the end of the day its here and wont disappear. So may as well have some fun with it. Its not like it will ever replace real artists. I make "real" music myself and I am even in the thankful position to have some people buy it, but I dont see an issue if someone would use it for AI training. I mean my music already got re-uploaded and listened to by many people without me seeing a single cent for it. The first physical release of a song by me was on a bootleg pressing I never got asked for permission. And you know what? I think its cool. At the end of the day music is about bringing joy and entertainment to the people. A narrow mind and egoism has no place in art. Of course I can see other people having different and more critical opinions. And thats okay too.

I could have probably thrown in a bridge there or something. Soundwise Udio recently released a new model of which Im still learning the ins and outs. Its a lot different to prompt compared to the previous model. It has more clarity, but sometimes it can lack a bit of energy, especially distorted guitars and the vocals.

Yeah AI made insane progress. I encourage you to check it out, its a lot of fun to tinker around with. The good thing about Udio is that you have more creative controll by generating 30 seconds at a time and the ability to cut off parts etc. So its not like Suno where the AI spits out a whole song, you actually have a lot more influence on the end result.

Its a sensitive topic. As someone who also makes real music and can sustain that hobby by having sales I can understand both sides, but well AI is now part of our life and will only improve from here. So gotta go with the time or be left behind. It wont be able to ever replace real musicians and art, but its fun to explore.
