It's hard to make the decision to eliminate trees that have been so good to you in the past. Unfortunately, these jalapeno trees are at the end of their lives and its time to make space for a new harvest. #jalapeno #urbanhomesteading #homestead #cleaning #cleaningupthegarden #garden #newplants #newharvest #freshstart

Lucen deliciosos enjoy 👍👍❤️
I would then use the whey in a pancake mix, as I did just today, to make a healthy batch of pancakes to freeze for later use ...even to use with a bit of fruit on top with some of the yoghurt 😉😊
@@grandmaisback6052 yum! Sounds great 👍🏻
Mighty Pretty Sweet Potatoes, Congrats.💜
@clg3697 thank you!!!
Trump won. DEAL WITH IT
Your channel just popped up ..new subbie... going to try this ASAP as we are on a carnivore lifestyle and we include dairy 😊
Awesome! Let me know how it turns out!
I save the whey for baking or to add back into the yogurt if I find it's too dry after straining overnight. The whey is awesome to use when baking bread and gives the yeast an amazing rise.
@debiwilburn2480 really?! I am going to try it with the next loaf of bread I make. Did you sub a certain amount of the water for the whey?
I just replaced the same amount of water with whey.
@@debiwilburn2480 thank you! I'm definitely going to try it out❤️

Awesome video. Thank you.
I’m not a spicy person so no chillis for me. How do you eat the peppers 🌶️ when they burn your mouth so bad or do you just swallow whole without biting into them but the burning goes all the way down and then the next end, even when you scrape the seeds out ?
@lynnechilton5794 these have been quite mild. But I find that when I cook them the heat is not so potent. I recommend jalapeno poppers. The cream cheese helps fight the burn. And it's super delicious!
You can eat the leaves in salads and stews high in vitamin content
@@lynnechilton5794 I will try that on the second bed!
How many gallons are the Contianers? And what store did you buy them from? Thank you
@crazymares they are 21 gallon tubs. I got them at home depot.
I’m so excited to see your harvest😊
Nice potatoes. But the cloth being so soft does make a difference when cleaning. The dirt on potatoes is turning the cloth into sand paper and putting little cuts in the skin. They may not store long.
@colonelgary7248 that's a great point. Do you recommend the brush technique?
@@arlenesurbanhomestead I personally would only remove dirt after curing is finished. And Sweet potatoes cure best in warm areas with moderate humidity. I grow mine in raised beds as well.
Hi I am new subscriber, beautiful harvest!
Where are you located? Just moving to the Dallas Texas area, your Chanel just showed in my feed 😊
@wandafigueroa6281 I am in south florida. Are you new to gardening and homesteading? If you have any tips or tricks, I'm all ears 👂👂😁😁
Thanks for your input,I too don't like long videos.. but sometimes I get carried away.
Good job I will start doing that thanks for inspiring me
To much talking.
Where did you get those standing white garden beds? & Nice harvest. And you can save some leaves they’re great for salad and stews
@irisfigueroa2511 I ordered them through home depot. The brand Vigoro.
When are the sweet potatoes planted? What zone are you in?
@carolemullen8676 we are in zone 11a. South florida area. I started in April. I bought the slips from lowes. We don't really have alot of nurseries or markets were we can get veggie starts in the city. I'm limited to the bonnie bell ones but this year they were magical! I have a second box that they vined into and I'm hoping to get a good yield in a couple months. Fingers crossed. I'll definitely update!
It is my first time on your channel and I have just subscribed. Thank you so much for sharing. Wow, very nice harvest. Keep up the good work. All the best on this journey😊🙏

@cassamoroll they have alot of health benefits. I'm not a doctor... but it's worth looking into. I've been drinking a cup mixed with my sweet tea.
Bella esa flor 👍👍
And, I cringe to even mention another very important step, and that is….resist, resist the temptation to cut into hot sourdough bread! Let cool at least an hour, if not to room temp. The heat being released by the cut, is needed to continue the final cooking process. The result will be a heavier, gummier crumb, and a chance of going bad quicker. I admit….I couldn’t resist my 1st time either!! 🍞 🥰
Chào bạn nhé chúc bạn luôn thành công ❤❤
@CuộcSốngHoangDã188 thank you so much!
Ha! So relatable 😅
Dang, girl... What city? Thankful you've got a great filter, pardon îf it sounds rude, but is it expensive? Well, i guess "expensive" is relative, huh?
@@terebrown2892 we are in mIami dade county in florida. I think it's worth every penny! I'm thinking of changing the filter every 6 months instead of every year.

What??!?? I just Made my sourdough starter yesterday! Thank god I came across your video ❤!!! Where did you buy this??
@@ronnie9958 I bought it at Walmart. But definitely stick with the starter. It took me a while to get a steady starter but it's so worth it
Thank you so much for this video ❤
Kudos to you. That looks so laborous.
Having a meat grinder is a handy device that saves money. And you know what is actually in your hamburger. Our local grocery store gives away free turkeys around the holidays if you have a member card and spend a certain amount of money on groceries. We usually get a free one every year. This year I made ground turkey with it. Kept the legs for smoking and ground the rest for chili, burgers and sausage. All that stuff for free.
wow! That's amazing!!
I bought this yeast awhile back. It is great. T. Y. 4 sharing this video. I am going to try your way. I did let my first loaf sit in fridge for 24 hours. Your loaf looked amazing 🎉
Can’t wait to grow my own slips while seeing how my mail order ones do First time sweet potato 🍠 grower ❤🎉

@@arlenesurbanhomestead so excited 😆 my mail order slips grew roots in the water & I just put them in Definitely hooked ☺️ got my own little slips coming along ♥️
Very helpful video. I really enjoyed, Thanks. Definitely gonna subscribe ❤
Awesome! Thank you!
Thanks for this video! I’ve had a whole Turkey in my freezer since January(they were on sale) and wondered if this was possible.
I always cut up a whole big turkey around Thanksgiving. I make soup out of the bony carcass, freeze the rest, breast for T-day and I grind up the deboned thigh meat. I cut it in cubes making sure it is semi frozen when I "grind" it in the food processor which works really well! I like to mix it with ground pork meat or that bulk sausage that is nitrate free. Makes great meatballs or patties. I find that turkey and pork really love each other. Because of those nasty little "tendon bones" or "pin bones" in the drumsticks, I don't like to cut drumsticks up. I BBQ them and then make kind of a chili and white bean and kale soup with them. Wings are good for soup, too. And of course I cook the back and main carcass bones and thigh bones for soup. On a large turkey, the back has a lot of meat. I like large turkeys for cutting up. Throw out the darn greasy tail feather thing though, because that will make your broth taste nasty gamey. And that leaves only breast and thigh for grinding.
Love these ideas!!
Perfect find. I just ordered the grinder to my mixer with this in mind. I make my own sausage taste great but the already ground is over 3 dollar a pound. The cheaper stuff at that. So, I had the same brainstorm you did. I know how to cut a chicken up but not a turkey. So here I am. Thank you. My turkey I brought is in refrigerator thawing now.
Awesome! I honestly use it more often than I thought I would when it first arrived! The quality of meat and the overall savings is worth it!
