I noticed you don’t have an oil pan, so I have and 86 sportster with an oil pan, are you just feeding the primary with oil?

I need help. I got a 92 obsolete 883 sportster. I'm constantly looking for replacement parts and I'm running into that word obsolete. Now I need a petcock for my fuel tank and I can't find one to save my life. I've been on the phone for two freaking days even Harley Davidson shop is looking up the information cause they don't know how to help me. outside of taking the petcock thoroughly apart and flushing it out as well I don't know what to do. i've been working on this bike for three freaking years. i'm sorry I didn't realize the previous owner never sealed the tank to begin with.

I've owned my share of Harleys and have had Engine mods Frame mods Handle bar mods, but it never crossed my mind to change from Belt to Chain, I don't get it ❓🤔😎

I'm not a Harley guy, but one of the things I like about them is the belt drive. Much quieter, virtually no maintenance. no oily mess, and yet here you are going from a belt to a chain. If the chafing was a problem, solve that problem. Installing a chain is a bad solution.
