Flute recital
I have been keeping this a secret as I was a bit embarrassed but over the last year I have been learning to play the flute. Anyway Sunday 15th December I am playing in a recital at my local church at 3pm and would really appreciate if you could come and see me, anyway I have attached a little bit of my recent work for you to listen to, I’m really very proud of it... 🙏

Ze best ever
I went to one of the nights cant remember which one
Only just discovered this what a great cover . Was gutted when the split
Was there ! 19 years old ❤
A sort of "Chairmen-of-the-Board-meet-Thin-Lizzy" version--I LOVE IT!
And this is why Weller broke up The Jam & form TSC, murdering a great soul song , fortunately I went the night before and missed it.
Big Jam fan, never new about this cover
Knew
Sound at these two gigs was atrocious.
A fantastic cover by the top band. Pity this didn't make it onto an official release
NOICE
Top notch this!!
Weller isnt a soul singer . He just doesnt have it. He should stick to rock. The music is fine but…..
The idea The Jam would not have been able to evolve into what Weller did with the SC is rubbish. This is far more believable than the shit he did with TSC.
Slightly narrow minded , did you ever get over the jam split ? TSC we’re far musically advanced than the jam , move on
@@mrquiff123 advanced? How so? By giving up the guitar and bass and simply relying on synthesizers and pianos?
I have spent 40 years wondering about this question. The Jam went through three phases. The punk new wave intro and the jazz soul outro bookended the genuinely original sound that began with A Bomb and ended with Underground. There were foreshadowings before 78 and echoes after 80 but that was the 'sound' of the Jam. Had they not broken up, Cafe Bleu would have been played by a three piece and you might well have forgotten who the Jam were. @@chastitywhore6141
epic energy, always been a jam fan and was searching for covers of chairman of the board and saw this, rivals the original. foxton bass amazing as usual
I remember that gig with bananarama sound system failed and we all realised they were miming i dont remember them being pelted off, i thought they left the stage as quick as they could with everyone laughing, bless them, cant say i remember the chairmen of the board classic being covered by the jam that night but i drank a lot of lager in them days.
Give Me Just A Little More Time Life's too short to make a mistake Let's think of each other and hesitate Young and impatient we may be There's no need to act foolishly If we part our hearts won't forget it Years from now we will surely regret it Give me just a little more time And our love will surely grow Give me just a little more time And our love will surely grow You're young and you're in a hurry You're eager for love, but don't you worry We both want the sweetness in life But these things don't come overnight If we part our hearts won’t forget it Years from now we will surely regret it Give me just a little more time And our love will surely grow Give me just a little more time And our love will surely grow Horn section - repeat intro… Love is that mountain we must climb Let's climb it together your hand in mine We haven't known each other too long But the feeling I have is oh so strong I know we can make it, there's no doubt We owe it to ourselves to find it out Give me just a little more time And our love will surely grow… brrrrah Give me just a little more time And our love will surely grow Give me just a little more time And our love will surely grow Give me just a little more time And our love will surely grow!
Love it xx
Superb, can’t stop playing it
Didn't Weller fall over when he come onto stage at the start?
Incredible cover, this is the true essence of the Jam
Class, from the best ever, they struck a chord with their music. The voice of a generation. "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN PUT YOU'RE HANDS TOGETHER FOR THE BEST BAND IN THE FU**ING WORLD" "The Jam"
Best cover of the original.
Fantastic 👍👍👍
Damn. That man got *soul*
Best band ever. Fantastic song covered with added energy. Just wonderful.
I was waiting for Paul to do the “brrrrrrrr” didn’t disappoint
Best band ever! Still have the dream adore the Jam!
Best quality I've heard of this! Nice one.
Nice
All I can say is as if these guys weren't cool enough already, the fact they covered such a KILLER classic soul tune by Chairman of The Board-including the tongue roll-and honestly at that-puts them RIGHT over the top!! Let's Jam baby!
I was at that gig. I remember Department S supported, as did Bananarama, who were pelted off for miming.
I saw them at the same Venue around that time, can't be sure they played this, not sure if they played the Sobell center more than once on this tour? Good upload though.
Yeah Bananarama were nervously dancing and miming to a ghetto blaster i recall !
@@neiltaylor1524 That's right. I seem to remember Paul was wearing his yellow shirt, with black polka dots. Good call Neil.
@@someblokecalleddave1 bananarama supporting the jam. the jam were awesome bananarama were shit always have been worst ever
@@dickturban8706 I quite like Bananrama retrospectively, but yeah they left no impression that night, they must have been ridiculously young as well.
I was there. 16 years old and THE greatest experience ever when they walked on stage. That will never be taken off me. Fucking awesome.
Brilliant!
Love finding nuggets like this on YT. Nice one !
Good job. Actually, if you can play fairly well and have a half decent voice it's difficult to mess up with lyrics and melodies like this. Their true strength was picking good songs to cover.
They certainly booted the arse out of this.....Superb!
Ha. My band were 2nd on the bill at this gig, with Bananarama bottom of the bill.
The Questions?
I prefer his voice then to how it is now,
It’s harder to sing, the older you get
Thank you. This is beyond wonderful.
Damn, they should cut this on "The Gift" and left off one of those duff tracks...
@Warren Baldwin Planner's Dream is amazing! And original!
better than t g express....
@@markboxall8417 Circus lol
My fave band ❤💜😎😎😎mojojamin larkin
Fantastic version. The Jam were the best band of their time.
They picked the best and right covers for themselves
Bring back the Jam!
Thanks for uploading this!
My all time favorite band. Back in the day till now and I still never get bored of listening to them. Brilliant cover!
Mr Blue Sky. The Jam song That's Entertainment always reminds me of a Portsmouth chess game that I have played in. And a Human League gig that I have been lucky 2c. As the Jam r my 2nd favourite band. 2nd only 2my favourite band i.e. the Human League. Who l've seen the Human League play live 16times now. And I have been lucky Enough to have met my favourite band 2. And 5times in Joanne Catheralls case. And this cover is a much better than Kyle M.1
I remember reading (about'82) that the jam had performed John's Children's Desdemona live but I've not heard it.Do you happen to have that one too? thanks for this good C.O.B. cover!
Nice version! Never heard it before! But not surprising though...this was Paul entering his "soul boy" phase....
was at this gig remember this being played nice one.
superb.. never knew about this. cant stop playing it
