I actually like the Game Gear version of this game, still has the phase through the paddle issue sometimes but it's easier which is a plus because I suck at the Genesis version. Good playthrough.

Fun to see this old classic For the amount of times you got thrown, I should mention that Sega games, especially streets of rage. Which was pretty popular around the time this came out, typically had this thing where you could tech the landing by holding up+jump, to avoid damage and land properly Might not be a thing in this game, but was worth mentioning.

finally, UA-cam algorithms offered me a channel i'd been looking for so long. skillful walkthroughs, no cheats, no save states, with live commentaries, where streamer doesn't get distracted answering donations every other minute. just pure content as it is.

A friend and I have been playing this game co-op and it's a lot of fun! I wish I had looked into it when I was younger.
