I think you may want to look at spending accountability. You are paying for me to see this advert/commentary. I am a registered voter in Southern California and I am currently in Pierce County Washington. You are spending money for that? Carelessness and maybe this is just a symptom of what Voters in your district see every day. I recommend that you increase transparency and accountability to your students, parents, and the voters of your district. Most bond measures will pass if there is good trust between the administration, the elected officials in the school board and the public. If funds are going into political advertising, or to studies with consultants were politically connected then accountability does not exist.

Has Estacada prioritized CTE as they keep saying? What's the continuity of tenure of their programs today? Ask the hard questions.

I really appreciate the focus on education. My child has missed a number of days this year due to illness. He has reported that they are not encouraged to wash their hands but to use sanitizer. I would love to see an increase in hygiene practices so that our kids have a better shot at staying healthy. As much as we love the focus on academics, we would also love to see an increase in break times and recess. Kids need to move and play- would love to see this improve.

Iam sure this is all possible do to the Non-profit from Guatemala called Totos Jauntos who bought their way in by paying off school officials. And are blocking anyone else from doing buisness in the community with out having to pay Totos Juantos, right? Mophia style!

Todos Juantos (From Guatemala) has come into the school's with a pay to play scheme and taking over the Estacada education system and shutting down the Daycare at CRE and contracting their own day care and preschools at CRE, Rivermill and contracted with all the churches to ensure their control. All with the blessing of the school board and city council. Not to mention some of the school district members are employees of Todos Juantos and the school district. This is Mofia type take over.

You guys have muzzled these kids daily for sometime now. Despite the science showing that they are least at risk of all of us. So much so that they are more at risk of the regular flu than of covid. This isn’t someone’s opinion, this is what the data shows. It also does not show that masks are effective, yet you push it anyways even though the community by and large does not support it. If other schools have “concerns” then console them in their moment of insecurity so we can move on. Allow us to be a beacon of light and courage. Fight back against this tyranny and encourage everyone to do the same.

How many of these absences are due to hunting seasons? You said in the beginning that this would help hire more teachers, how is this accomplished by the new schedule?

How many extra hours will the kids get with this schedule? How many less days of school will there be that parents will have to find child care for?

I like the idea! How many total in class instuction hours a year are in this schedule vs the schedule from 2021-2022? I like how we still get a 4 day weekend for Labor Day, even though they start in August. Can we swap the January 2nd day off for the day after Halloween? Ha!

Will Wednesdays be early release still?

Great presentation. Having served as chair of a local K-8 school board I know what fun calendar creation is. I think that this is a well thought out calendar that serves the students and teachers well and keeps learning momentum high.

I wish the district would return to a traditional grading model, A-F. I believe that the standards based grading limits a child's desire to achieve and there is no incentive to work beyond what the standard is, even if they've mastered it. Also, standards based grading limits the teacher's ability to teach anything that isn't within the standard. They are so focused on teaching the standard and fitting it into their day, there is no room for other subjects, like history, spelling, or handwriting. Please seriously consider returning to traditional grading and parents, if you agree, please speak up! Have you noticed your child excelling in learning compared to what you learned when you were at their grade level?

Along with helping parents and students understand the SBG system, an investment into a reporting system that is easy to use, navigate, and understand at a glance would be SUPER helpful. In other words, Powerschool does not appear to be the answer. I'd love to see the district take time as soon as possible to invest in a software program that provides more visibility and understanding to students and families.
