I applied the epoxy resin before painting with acrylic paint. I wanted the surface/item to be sturdy enough before painting.

Thanks for your comment 😊. I used 15mm here I think... it may have been 20mm as I have both. That's not up to 1 inch. But depending on what you want to use is for 1 inch, it can work as well.

It's a stryofoam ball, painted with acrylic with a little skewer stick at the top

My paper marche recipe was flour and water only. after 3 layers of paper marche, I also coated with a layer of PVA glue, then epoxy resin. I used plain newspaper sheets here. Hope this helps 😊
