Will this work with a socket adapter with outlets? I don’t have outlets on my covered patio and wanted to plug in a small cat water fountain so I bought one of those screw in socket adapters that has 2 outlets on the side. The only issue is that if I want to turn off my patio light by the switch it will also cut the power to the outlets on the socket adapter so then the fountain won’t run continuously like I want it to since no power is going to the socket adapter. I can turn off the light by the pull chain that is on the socket adapter but it’s kind of inconvenient to go outside when I want the light on. So I was curious if this bulb would be a solution to my problem. I could point it through closed window to turn it on and off when needed. Does this bulb work in any type of socket or only specific ones. Also what is the range on the remote? And can it be used through a window or wall from a few feet away? Does the remote have to point directly at the bulb? Thanks.
