Sig Sauer P227 with Mitch Rosen holster
Mitch refuses to put sweat Guards on his holsters. I would probably try some but a sweat Guard is a must for me personally. I live most of the year in a hot humid climate without a guard my handguns get covered in sweat. Most of my friends feel the same way. I spoke with him about this before and can’t remember his reasoning but as a consumer who is willing to pay for any extras you would think Mitch would consider adding a guard.
I guess I don't sweat that much that I would need aa sweat guard so I have never had a problem with the holster. One would think if a customer was wanting to add a feature to the holster that they would oblige to the request.
Is the small o-ring that fits up in the check valve the same o-ring that fits in the plug on the fuel line?
Dude, do yourself a favor and replace the damn thing.
Dude , Harley don't sell it and further more it was fix with two new o-rings . If you can't understand that I can't help you. Some people just don't make sense.
Nice build! Have a nice flight!
Thank you , won't fly until next year .
@@goodboyringo9716 I'm also planning for next year. I have exactly the same situation as you. I haven't flown for 7 years, so I decided to start flying again. I've flown big models- 50- 60cc And I flew pretty well, but over the years I have forgotten a lot. Not only to fly but also to assemble airplanes, electronics and so on. So I bought the Ultra stick to get back into flying. I think in that case this plane is exactly what we need.
@@Abhazaii .... Ha ha that is crazy the same situation ! Yes , I would tell anyone not to sell your trainer plane because one day you may need it. Also, if you sell your planes you'll never get half of what you put into them and today the prices of planes and parts are double of what the once cost and most all good manufactures are out of business.
The half cock on the P238 is more of a safety catch in case the hammer slips when disarming it. It can be engaged with the hammer down and safety on as well. Not real enough to practice dry fire and not secure enough for a method of carry. It doesn’t have enough momentum to detonate a round neither.
I’m about to do the same thing. Any particular troubles with removing the chrome cow bells and headlamp housing?
No, not a hard job. just remove the the headlight and its housing as one. There are 4 or 5 bolts around it some take just the headlight out others take the housing out remove the right ones. Once out there is a small nut inside up top that needs removing so the small chrome strip on top can be removed. This strip needs to be removed to get to other screws. Also, remove the chrome housing around the key and handlebars, you should be able to get it from there.
Brother aibhave the same year bike, love it!
Thanks for that, mate. Well explained 👏 👌🏼
You just saved me a lot of money for tools to do it 😊
What’s your hand load in your Glock 21 ?
i have many different loads I'd have to unbox them. I don't shoot much anymore . I loaded some max loads from the book and only loaded a few hundred rounds. 9mm 454, 45,
First load was 460 , Starline brass, primer cct 300, powder Longshot 12. gr. bullet 230 GR XTP... second load... 460 , starline brass, primer cct 300, powder longshot powder 13.5 gr, 200 gr XTP bullet.
Hello, I have the same splitter, the foam is ridiculous. Mice eat it and that crap falls into the carb. I found a GX 340 airbox, with filter, that is an exact fit and takes about 5 minutes to put on (the filter that comes with it does not quite fit on the EXISTING airbox or you could just order one of the filters). The replacement airbox has a rod and nut to hold the filter down. Runs perfect with the new filter. Cost 24 bucks on Am from seller Podoy, there might be others that are cheaper. Hope this helps someone.
Oh thanks I didn't quite understand the "exact fit" then "does not quite fit" part but I'll look for one
I can't find anything GCV 340
@@goodboyringo9716 Hey there, yeah my writing isn't too clear, sorry. I meant the airbox bolts right up, but if you just wanted to use that GCV340 air filter element in the existing airbox it does not quite fit inside the little tabs.
@@goodboyringo9716 My mistake, I should have said GX340, if you search that you will see several, there is one for $17 that looks the same as mine. The one I got was from a seller called Podoy. I'll correct what I said in the post.
@@rickridgeway905 ... Thanks , I found it . So if I remove the box the GX340 air box will fit right on ?
That's an interesting 460 Rowland conversion you have. Their barrels are usually marked on the side of the chamber and their muzzle brakes are rounded, not angular like yours is and...they write in red ink in the front of the brake "Authentic 460 Rowland (R)". It doesn't have to be a Rowland conversion but your muzzle brake is not a Rowland. It is similar to the ones available for any threaded barrel and work the same way. The side of the chamber on the 460 Rowland also has "460 Rowland" etched on it. You can achieve the same power in a braked 45 Super with a recoil spring change. (the 45 Super and the 460 Rowland are made of identical strong brass and their oal is also identical, the 460 is 1/16th of an inch longer to prevent chambering the round in an unbraked 45 auto.) The 45 Super doesn't usually require a brake, just a change of springs unless very hot loaded, it's also more comparable to a 10mm which does not require a muzzle brake as well.
I'm not trying to pretend my Kit is from Rowland . My kit didn't come from Rowland , I can't recall the company I bought it from being it was about 5 or 6 years ago but when I bought it , it was listed as Rowland 460 meaning 460 cal. Rowland came up with that 460 cal. If I would have known about Rowland and that his kit was original I would have bought his parts. I spoke with Mr Rowland after learning about him , very nice guy. He even sent me free mag parts. I don't know about any other caliber being = to the 460 . I just know I wanted a power auto for deer hunting and went with the 460. I have a 44mag Super Red Half 9 1/2" but it isn't so easy to carry . I'll try looking for paper work on where I bought it from when I get time.
Great job with the video! For the 45cc most people drill holes in the pull start to cool it down! Thats where a lot of air sucks in. Or get the taylor easy pull start it has holes in it! Not sure if it will fit! The problem with taking off that cylinder cover it doesn't cool down when you in idle! I think bartolone might make a pipe for it on the rovan site! Not sure if its in stock!
I did drill holes in the pull start , you just can't see them for the outer ware. I don't see why the engine it wouldn't cool down during idle without a cover that holds in heat., I don't idle much anyway. If Rovan sells Bartolone pipes they are not for the SLT 45cc . I been looking for years. I can maybe buy one for a smaller engine and cut and weld it to fit but just don't want to waste money. I may put a Taylor 35cc on it with a Taylor pipe
Good luck with that slt! Thats the downside on that 45 is the exhaust port. With the 35 for sure you will get better performance with that taylor pipe.
Thank you, I have been looking for 2 days to just show me how it was taken apart without destroying it. Yours was the first one I found that did that. Lucky, I paid 100 bucks for the manual, piece of crap.
Looks great!
This is very helpful. I made the same mistake and broke the derailleur. Did you end up going with the gt300 and do you think that is still a better alternative?
Yes a great deraileur
Wooooooooo
Great video. Helped a lot! Thanks!
Pulled up at traffic lights, stink of hot fuel! Petrol being sprayed over hot engine! Apparently this is a Harley problem, Nice One,Tank full of gas 2 inches away from bollox, with a hot engine sprayed with fuel, Note to self, Sell Harley, buy Honda!
I know how you feel but even if you and I hate Harley for their crap we still love our Harley bikes. If you go by my video you'll be able to fix it easy. Sorry to hear you had that problem and glad things didn't get worse.
Mine isn't leaking, but it dosnt seem to let fuel pass thru..also everything in the tank (pump ext.) Is all new
Hey thanks for the info. What is the part number for the seal driver? Thanks
I repaired the bike awhile back but I stoped the video and got the part # from the box of the tool. # 57-8489 I think I bought it on ebay

Theres play in the gun?
So you don't know what play is . Play would be movement between parts. The tolerance isn't tight . Any person with a slight bit mechanical knowledge would know this word " Play " being used , sorry you didn't understand.
@goodboyringo9716 don't insult me you punk. You f%$# smart ass. I know what tf pmay is. I asked of there was play in the gun because there shouldn't be considering they cost 1500 bucks.
How did you get yhe ball part off? That's what I'm working right now.
I worked on this car awhile back and it has been sold now . If i can remember the cable and ball was easily removed by bending the small tab open allowing the ball to be removed.. Just use a screwdriver to open the tab enough to slid the cable & ball out.
Thank you! @@goodboyringo9716
The only way to really get I'm to a nice war bird is build it yourself man. That way you can put quality hardware in it and quality servos.
Sig is still in business and yes the hobby has turned to shit big time. Customer service is non- existent. Its really tuff to get flying anymore.
Dude, you need to get that Ignition box is far away from your receiver. As you can get it, put it up there by the motor mount it on the firewall somewhere anywhere but get it away from your radio dude, they don't play nice together. The Ignition module puts out a lot of high frequency radio waves and it can cause brown outs if it's too close to the receiver or too close to the antennas of the receiver. So I'm telling you, man. Get that thing away from the receiver. And you got it mounted right on top of it dude you can't do that. Well, you can do that. But you're gonna end up with the crash stair plane if you do I can tell you that much because you will have brown outs that way.
Yes you may be right about the ignition. I may change it somehow. It's winter here so it's not going up anytime soon. This plane sucks , there is no room in it . I normally mount my ignition in the front on the firewall but as you can see there is no room. Even in the fuel tank area , there is no room. In my opinion this plane wasn't made to be for a gas engine . I don't recommend this plane even if it may fly good.
Yeah I heard 44magnum has a kick and people complain I found it very easy to shoot with no discomfort at all or recoil . So to me this would be nothing also
Good for you , I love the gun but don't shoot it much.
There is no point to the casul round . 44 mag is enough of your gonna go big then go all the way 480 ruger or 500 magnum that’s like buying 40 cal when you should just go 10mm
I now have 3 of Mitch Rosen's holsters, They of the highest quality, and would recommend to everyone. Great video review.
Thank you my friend !
How did you cut out that dawg ? That is perfect .
Very easy ! Lay your dawg on a piece of paper and trace it out . Then alter the dawg points to suit you on the paper. Cut the part out , drill the holes to fit your saw . Using any tool you like , files and carbide bits in your drill to round the fillets. The mounting will be the same as the stock dawg , only the teeth will change according to your drawing. You are just making them longer and shaped as you like.
Beautiful pistol. Good review, Thank you.
WOW! You paid two large for an unassembled Champ 34 ton? Mine was assembled except for gas and being a little low on hydraulic fluid and way less in cost just this fall. Its put away now for winter, but the oiled foam filter was not even dirty after about 8 full cord. Maybe you can find a paper one off the shelf. We started trailering at the suggested 45MPH, but soon got up to 70 without any issues at all.
It doesn't come with an oil foam filter , ha ha . Who in their right mind would put a log splitter at 70 mph ? That makes me think you don't even have one. I got mine from Home Depot but had to ordered it. They are not shipped with oil. ha ha
@@goodboyringo9716 Mine is from Home Depot too, but I did not order it, I bought it from their stock already assembled and with motor oil, and "most" of the hydraulic oil already installed. They had two models from Champion, the other a 27 ton for only a few dollars less. You are correct, I had to oil the filter myself, no biggie since it only talkes a tablespoon full worked into the foam and then squeezed into a shop towel. Going 45 mph on freeway is way more dangerous than 70 so long as the trailer or such is stable. It rode very stable. Check the hose clamps on that clear line, mine was loose, but did not leak. Did not mean to upset Ya.
If you want to buy this, just wait. There's always people who sell it after firing it once LOL.
Ha ha you may be right but not me , she's a keeper .
It’s called a muzzle break 2:00
It's not for a muzzle break on this gun. Look up why it's for the 460 roland
@@goodboyringo9716I am not sure what you think I was referring to, but you forgot the name of the muzzle device in your video (2:00) and I was telling you what it called. They call it a compensator on their website but since it also has ports on the sides it is more accurate to say it is a muzzle break.
@@Seyweld98 ... I know what you think it is( muzzle break) because they put them on rifles and other guns to help with recoil but the Roland 460 barrel kit needs this to function correctly, It's not a muzzle break.
@@goodboyringo9716 Muzzle breaks by definition are devices placed at the muzzle of a firearm to reduce the recoil energy by redirecting the escaping gases. Tell me that is not what the compensator (the name given by the manufacturer and Mr Rowland himself) does here. ALSO you do not NEED the comp for the weapon to function, they have glocks without them on their UA-cam channel.
@@turn-n-burn1421 ... You really don't make sense. Go get un Trump brainwashed, ha ha
How does the recoil feel on that monster?
Like a canon
As you are inserting the pick to get at the top O ring, do you also have to push on that plunger?
It's been two years ago since I did the video but No the plunger doesn't need to be pushed to remove the top o-ring. Watch the video and do the job just as the video says. Once you start working on the part it will be easy
Well done sir.
In your video you said there’s lots of videos of the retaining clasp at the back of the tach. Could put a couple of links here, I couldn’t find any. I cannot get that damn locking clasp at the back of the tach to release the cable. Thanks, good video BTW. Ever mind, figured it out.
Yes , glad you figure it out. I couldn't remember how it worked but I do know that it came off very easily . Sorry it's been awhile and i sold my Vette.
Do you have video of how you took off the necelle?
I haven't done a video on the necelle but it's easy to remove. Remove the head light cover in the front, remove the head light to get inside to reach nut for the chrome strip on top of the necelle. I think the triangle cover ,covering the handle bars needs to come off. and them the bolts on both sides of the necelle . I' sitting at the PC so I'm winging it for you but that is about it . Just take your time and lay parts out neatly , don't forget how they go back but it's easy.
@goodboyringo9716 thanks for the info.
Big thumbs-up on your video. Your shined up lowers look good. You mentioned not spending a couple hundred dollars for chrome lowers. The cost for chrome lowers from Harley dealer is more like $650.00 (+/-). That's for the cans, and seals. Plus you'd pay another $500+ if you ask them to mount them. I'll purchase chrome lowers from ebay for $299 then mount them myself. Take it easy, Ringo. 👍🏽🤠 7/12/23
Thanks my friend for the thumbs up ! I hope everything goes ok for you , always do the work your self, you learn and save money .
Do you know the size of the lower o ring that fits in the groove? The ones that came with kit I have doesn’t seem to fit. It’s an 01 road king with m&m efi
I think I listed the size in the description
It's a cool round but the darn conversion kit is pricey
Where can you get an auto 44 mag ? They may be out there but it's worth it. I built this one for hunting.
Thank you for sharing this video. I have a 72 with a bad tach cable. I heard removing the dash pad was the easiest way to get to the back of the tach and speedometer. I fought for a few hours trying to get the front panel to move forward enough to get my hand in there and it is impossible. I gave up and put it back together. Now I will attempt how you did it plus now I know where that hidden dash pad screw is, Thanks again.
I hope it works out for you . Always work slow and have patience . Remember ..You love your Vette !
@@goodboyringo9716 I will attempt this next week.
This is a very nice gun. I actually purchased this one in 9mm, with the same safety features I think it’s one of the safest guns out there. And also one of the most accurate.. Decocker all the way. Also, it’s not a small gun. It’s bigger than it looks.
That's the same filter that's on my Champion 34 Ton. It's six months old and the filter is still clean, but it started leaking gas today around the carburetor while it was sitting inside and not running. It hasn't been cranked since last Fall. I did leave my gas line open from when I used it last, but that shouldn't cause a leak. Maybe cheap parts abound on these things.
Thats funny because I used my splitter one time and checked the air filter and it had wood chips around the sides of the filter. A two years old can take one look at this air filter and know it's junk for an air filter. My 4 hp cub push mower has a better filter than this.
Thank you so very much. Glad you had it removed from the bike.
The foam air filters do work decently, especially when soaked with some light oil, but they fall apart after a couple of years.
Dirt gets around these, so called filters. They do not stop dirt
I need this holster in black
Yes you do , it's sweet
I have the SLT V5 I love it I wanna buy another but they are out of stock and I doubt if they sell anymore.
This SLT is a 45cc , they no longer sell the 45cc but they do sell the 36cc SLT at Rovan / fearless RC same company.
