Thundergun is an original rock band in Seattle. We play 70's influenced rock. We've played shows in Seattle, Tacoma, Portland, Canada and Idaho. We're all about having a good time all the time.

And yet another rock 'soon to be' classic from the band some call 'a band'. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did that one time.

This is pretty good
They are killing it! My grandparents ware friends with Don. Lew & Florence West! ❤❤❤
What amazing content! What amazing courage! What's also amazing is this wonderful video doesn't have more views! This has got to be the most terrifying way to race😮
Does anyone remember a guy named "Dick Brunes" He used to pull the skier Ray Moore. Dick was my grandpa. I'm 54 years old. Dick made the Seattle Times for winning a race driving the boat with his feet and won crossing the finish line. I used to have that news article with picture. Wondering if anyone has that?

Thanks for sharing your video. 👍
I'm very interested in the color footage that shows the boats going by the only Bothell-Woodinville Rd trestle bridge. Is there any way you can send me this video so I can create stills of the bridge footage?
Thanks for the compliment and I agree. The main songwriter, Jeremy Best (self taught keys and vocals) was a high school history and political science teacher. He loved the name and Dangerfield's historical impact. Unfortunately Jeremy developed ALS not long after this video was made and has been wheelchair bound on a respirator. He communicates through a computer that tracks his eye movements but it's tough for him, he has to type one letter at a time.
Interesting nane. He was a true hero. Should be a movie. I've heard Django was about him. Nice sound also.
Good cover, but I don't like the singers style
mitchell he wrote the song for Super Deluxe
@@billibsen9987 so that's Jim Hoffman?
mitchell yes, his band reformed after about 15 years to do some shows. He wasn’t fond of performing live and prefers writing and recording music which he still does today.
So cool to see this video. The pictures don't do justice on how stecky this was
Hello, I'm the digital media editor at HistoryLink.org, the free Washington state online encyclopedia. One of our writer's is currently creating a Sammamish Slough water-skiing timeline for the site and was wondering if we could use this video in the article. If you think it might be possible, could you email me? media <at> HistoryLink <dot> org ? Thank you!

It's Slough.
buxk-it listttttttttttttt,man?
Finally some 1980s Seattle video that is not about sports. Not very many people here, was this a free show?
It was an event called "America Days" or something like that just ahead of the 4th of July. Something the Seattle Center cooked up to bring people down on an otherwise slow Friday. Yes it was free and still very few people attended to witness a bunch of teenagers crank out hits from 3 years prior! Go figure! I think we played at like 2:30 in the afternoon.
Bill Ibsen I wish I could have lived in Seattle around 1986-1989 before most people knew about it..it must have been a really cool place. If a free show was put on now it would be packed even for a crummy act so people felt differently back then.
I'll take three pairs!
From 3:20 to the end is my dad practicing jumps in Fairweather bay where they lived (Hunts Point). Notice the lack of homes and the fact that you could do that then.
Working on getting more of this up. My grandfather (Don Ibsen) was one of the pioneers of waterskiing and shot all this film. The 1:09 mark shows my uncle (Don Jr.) driving the boat and my father (Ron) skiing behind him. Around 1955.
This is truly awesome! Now that is all wildlife park... I dont think a motorboat has touched that part in over 20+ years. I have always wanted mash down that on a jet ski. I would love to see more! I was born and raised on lake Washington. Just had my boat out there a couple of days ago.
Good song!
@dundeesv Greetings Jeff, if you can, ask Bob to view this and see if he sees himself and if he recognizes anyone else. I'd like to add as much info to this video as possible since I can't seem to find anything else out there of these races. thanks!
Great Guys - I think one of the hydroplanes was driven by Bob Wate he stills lives on Lake Sammamish. Cheers, jeff page
Sorry for the delay to your comment. Yes there is more. I have to get it segmented out and uploaded. I plan on doing that in the next few months. These videos were taken by my grandfather who was one of the inventors of waterskiing (Don Ibsen). My father and uncle participated in these races in the mid 50's. Check back in a few months and feel free to bother me to get the rest up. I need the motivation. thanks for viewing!!
Great film. Anymore vintage ski racing films?
