Two Weekends with the Hasselblad XPan and Kodak 35mm Film | Gold 200 | Portra 400 | Portra 800 | XX
I've been going through my backlog of film negatives and video footage and realized I have footage from the Charlotte Pride weekend and from a really Cool collaboration between @MLSCharlotte x @adidasSkateboarding x @BlackSheepSkateShop ! I had the chance to meet and photograph some amazing skaters and especially cool I got to photograph Daewon Song! It was such an epic event! I shot few film stocks Kodak XX, Portra 400, Portra 800, Lomo 800 and Harman Phoenix 200 in 120! I hope you all enjoy!

Thank you! I used the FV2 BMD Film Gen 5 LUT I edit with Davinci Resolve, so I have the power grade version of Film Vision II

I remember I loved the waist level finder but hated that I could not take a portrait with it. With the prism it just didn’t work for me that much. Great camera, superb lenses. ❤
I can definitely understand that! Taking a portrait with it is definitely a challenge. Unfortunately I didn’t get enough time as the camera recently gave out on me. I hope to get it repaired soon.

Thank you! Any image that is square ratio is from the Mamiya 6. I leave them in the native format. The Fuji images are all in 5x4 ratio. Next time I'll try and differentiate in the video!

Is its focus speed reliable in filming?
It’s decent, similar to what you get from the nifty 50. I wouldn’t count on it for fast action and such.

I’ve just subscribed brother because my next purchase is going to be one of the Fuji GA or GS 645’s I don’t know which one just yet but. Only want it for portability because I have a 5x4 camera including a 6x6 120 back. I like the idea of Street photos with 120 film. Big up yourself from Northern Spain.
Thank you so much brother! Be careful with the GS645w if you go that route. I’ve since had the camera repaired twice. The shutter problem seems to be persistent. I’ve heard good things about the GA645.

Harmon is working on a second version of this film with lower contrast, I believe they are also working on making 120 and large format films. I’m not a fan of this film (too contrasty for my taste) but I’m extremely enthusiastic that Harmon is producing original color film stocks. I might buy a few rolls just to support their efforts and see if my initial impressions are wrong. Remember, we are the ones who are keeping film alive and we need to support the efforts of the people who are creating something new. Before we know it Gold and Portra will be the only color film stocks left and we will be paying $20 a roll.
Agreed! I don’t expect the film to be for everyone. Just like us having preference in B&W film stocks. I’m also not so excited for the contrast right now. But, having variety allows for choice and choice enables creative liberty and I’m all for that! I’m excited to hear that more is in the works and will continue to support as long as they continue to keep film pushing forward and stay a part of the community.

I really like your shots! I live and shoot around Charlotte, too. I have a 50mm Summicron and absolutely love it. I switched to the M-mount system a year ago and it’s been great.

The color grading is top notch. Graded in Davinci? Did you use a lut or you own node structure?
Much appreciated !!! This was graded in Resolve! I started with the FilmVisionII powergrade from Serr and then modified and tweaked color and textures from there!
Cell phones are cool for photos but nothing beats the feeling of a dedicated camera man. All of your shots are fire btw!
