12 X 42 Sig Sauer Zulu 6 HDX First impressions. Compact and light weight. Image stabilization works well. Video taken with an old iPhone at 720 resolution so images are not nearly as clear as the actual view.
Two a Trip

Observing the Jays at the backyard feeder. They will often make the effort to get two peanuts in one trip.. The Scrub Jays get two in their beaks. The Steller's Jays get one in their gullet and one in there beak. The Steller's Jays will sometimes return with a previously taken peanut to exchange it for another.
Westport Waterfront

Westport, Oregon waterfront. Ferry "Oscar B" arriving from across the river at Puget Island, Washington. Teevin Bros. loading rock onto a barge after hauling it from the quarry on Bradley hill. This site was once home to a small lumber mill after the large lumber mill was shut down.
Medical Call Response

I just happened to have the DJI Air 3 flying when the Westport, Oregon fire department responded to a medical call. Westport personal provides first response emergency medical care prior to ambulance arrival from the neighboring town of Clatskanie, Oregon. Checking out the homestead herd with the DJI Air 3. It looks like Goofy isn't welcome as the spike bull has taken charge of the herd. Hopefully some bigger bulls will join them soon.

Dangerous way to split wood by reaching over the piece to the control valve while splitting. If the piece suddenly pops apart, 'explodes' apart, you could get seriously injured. If that hasn't happened to you yet, you're lucky. I've had a few pieces pop apart with one or both halves flying 2'-3'.

I bought a 223 sps 700 10 yrs ago. I couldnt hit the side of a barn no matter what load. I noticed the sps stock had a lot of flex in the fore end. So I bought some other hs precision stock and now it's a tack driver. It has been my Fox exterminator since.

I think you’re throwing a little too close there. Of course fish will run there but the majority are a bit farther out
Not in my experience. The steelhead hug the beach. Catch many on the slider in just a few feet of water.
@@homesteadfilm3870 interesting I’d have to disagree I don’t think fishing a few feet of water is your best bet on the Columbia.
@@rickysimmonds2681 depends on water temps and time of year. Steelhead run shallow here. Salmon will be a bit deeper but still stay on the ledge most of the time.
Fall fishing is a whole different ball game.

Oregon has the most beautiful coastline in U.S. although the west coastline is also nice in WA and CA. however, the east and Gulf coastlines of the U.S. are just as flat as a pancake.

I lived in Wauna back in the 50’s and 60’s . My dad worked for koppers lumber company there. I went to school in Westport. I remember there was only 2 people in my 5th grade class so we combined with the 4th graders . Beautiful place . I loved it
My Dad worked for Koppers until they shut down then went to work at the paper mill they built in Wauna.

the sound is not realistic! In reality it is a very loud bang.
This wasn’t making much noise. My 30 Cal makes a lot of noise though.
