Before becoming a UU I was sort of a "fundamentalist" Catholic and I was one of those people who wanted to bring back the Middle Ages, Inquisition and everything, as it was probably the logical conclusion to my relatively conservative upbringing and this reminded me of that. I find inspiration from many religious and philosophical traditions and Humanism is the one I identify the most with so far, being both a UU and a Humanist has helped me fill in the void of purpose I felt when I left Christianity altogether a few years ago so I appreciate lectures like this one. Funny enough one of the main reasons why my faith in Christianity collapsed was precisely because of evolution, while the mainstream Catholic Church acts like it poses no threat to its theology many of my friends were creationists for some reason and it was through that I found out that if Genesis is not literal at all then Jesus had no reason to die (because where did Original Sin come from if it wasn't through the Fall?) and maybe this implication is the reason why those Fundamentalists are so opposed to proper science education.

Americans who are aware of this rigged economy know the TRUTH of what is happening when the people AREN'T benefiting from this so-called growing economy. It's up to us to inform those who are asleep and who continue to push an agenda that don't benefit them. Let them know that the simple game of MONOPOLY proves the game is rigged AGAINST the 99%. The powers that be are at its WEAKEST and the scales are tipped in our favor. Its all about the GROUND GAME to expand the electorate, spread the message and MOST definitely GROW the Movement. The REVOLUTION won't be televised. #NOTMEUS #Bernie2020

FDR demonstrates that social programs are a great success in a capitalist economy while removing Americans from the Great Depression. The working family in this country is severely economically depressed due to a manipulated economy that benefits the rich from the backs of working families in this country. It is time for the modern FDR in Bernie Sanders to lead the Movement to transform America that works for working families.
