7:03 why 3?
It can be simplied....both number 9 and 6 can be simplified by 3 so you just divide both by 3 and it will give you 3/2

Is this TSI test for any state in the US. Or is it different for all states ??
These questions are pretty similar to the ones on the TX TSI. Not sure abt other states

@@daisy6780 I’d say going over questions 2-7 , but most of the questions he went through helped me out. I’d also suggest studying how to factor since it kept popping up on the TSI. Hope this helped, goodluck! :)

Out of what I remember, they don’t provide them to you, but if you practice them a few times, they get easier ti learn

For the last question i did -4(3)(-56) and got 672, i cant square root 672 because i get decimals is that normal or did i mess up?
So, what probably happened was that when you were multiplying the “-4(12)(-56)” was that you got a result of 672, but you forgot to add the 1 that was left, which would’ve given you a 673. Since there is no square root for that, you cannot simplify it anymore. You would have to simplify the whole problem instead of that square root.
I wish I could add a picture of what I’m saying, but through the comments, I can’t!
@@lavieenmathematiques2940 yeah i just noticed i forgot to add the 1, the first time i went over this i dint understand it well but after studing this section i have now a clear method do do it, i have to take the tsi today and i think as long as i go over my problems i should be fine thanks again

I feel like the system is corrupted cuz the SAT was “easier” then the TSI. I got a “high” score on the SAT that got me into my college but the 15 times that i have taken (not an exaggeration) the TSI math for some reason I haven’t been able to pass it I GIVE UP!
Wow that’s horrible. I think it’s so unfair to have to take the TSI when we’ve taken the SAT. I don’t care how long it’s been. I’m taking mine in 30 mins 😂
You didn't have to retake it 15 times, that was a waste of money. If math was the only thing that you had trouble with, you'd just get a regular math class instead of a credit course in college. The other subjects will still be credit courses. You should just focus on passing the development class instead of retaking the TSI over and over, but whatever floats your boat.
You relieved a whole weight off my shoulders in 16 fucking minutes. I have to take my tsi in less than an hr and I feel way more confident! WOW YOU’RE A LIFE SAVER! THANK YOU SO MUCH

Just passed my exam after a week long study. I’d suggest watching this video and the momentrix TSI review. Watch then try to do some practice questions by yourself. Thank you for this guide it really helps!

@@alexcantu3487 i didnt study, so I reviewed this video. I got over 930 with the scores. Reading and writing isnt hard. For the math portion, for me and another friend, it had more factoring problems and some problems where you use foil to multiply (x+1)(x-1) for example. Some problems give you the formula for finding area and stuff like that, and there are problems where you find the value of x, or y, or f, like in the 1st problem of the video. There was a few problems where you find medians, mode, and mean of things, and there are graphs and tables too. Once you take the test, you'll be able to remember some of the things because its math stuff that you learned in high school. Sorry if this is all jumbled up to read.
I truly hate the TSI with all my heart but this video was such a good and fresh recap, thank you!

Why on number 4 when you subtract x from 20x is it 19? Shouldn’t it just be 20 without the x?
No because you need to keep an x in the equation.
There is an easier method to solve for the y intercept question. A y intercept always has an x value of zero therefore you only need to add a zero into the x's and solve. I don't know if I explained myself correctly but yeah.
So 2(x+3)(x-4) = 2(0+3)(0-4)= 2(3)(-4)= -24
