Black Parade will forever be one of the best things that happened things that happened to the emo scene, even if some don't consider it emo. This album is just a true work of art not only from the visuals and story, but also musically. You can listen to it normally and still enjoy but also enjoy it through the story it tells. That man Gerard is a genius fr.

But it’s not the worst though, it’s one of the best. Hook has 100% creative control of her self she doesn’t have management. You have to remember that music is a form of art. You didn’t catch it the first time but the lyrics make sense.. and she’s on beat, just not the main beat you hear.

If I may suggest an album, you should give a listen to Mike Shinoda's Post-Traumatic album. It follows his progress through grief in the aftermath of his bandmate Chester Bennington's suicide. Life changing and in my top 3 (along with this album).

The black parade is I think one of the greatest albums of all time. And this opinion is coming from a guy who has heard just about everything.

I was a senior in high school when this album came out. by then i'd had their first and second albums on repeat for a few years. I saw them open for Green Day on the American Idiot tour and at Warped Tour '05. All time favorite band. They switch up the vibe on the album after this called Danger Days, and they actually have a song called Na Na Na that you would probably enjoy. This album is a masterpiece and the lore behind its creation is deep. I cannot encourage you more to look into their other albums, you wont be disappointed!

Kinda related but if you look for some single releases of some songs in this album (Welcome To The Black Parade and Famous Last Words specifically) there's some additional Black Parade tracks called B-sides being Kill All Your Friends and My Way Home Is Through You (for the Famous Last Words single), and Heaven Help Us (for the Welcome To The Black Parade Single) plus for the Teenagers single there's a live performance version of the song Sleep

you should check out Hail The Sun. Pretty sick band with a lot of drum and guitar solos. (SWANCORE) Suggestions: Devotion cuts, Maladapted, Domino, Human target practice, Glass: Half-Empty, Black Serotonin, The Story Writes Itself, Mental Knife, The Stranger In Our Pictures, Tunnel Vision Alibi, and finally When it Feels Convenient (these are the ones I enjoy in order)

i love watching people listen to this album for the first time. and it's really funny you mention getting tired of rap, cause i'm really into death metal, black metal, all of THAT type of music, but i've been getting tired of it and trying to listen to more rap. (right now I really like death grips, earl sweatshirt, jpegmafia, and model home) edit: MCR is still together!!!! They released a new single in 2022 and went on tour! also, if you want a heavy-but-not-TOO-heavy album rec that's good from start to finish, check out Feathers And Flesh by Avatar. One of my favorites by my all-time favorite band. If you liked the guitar solos in black parade, you'll go CRAZY for Avatar's guitar solos!

If you ever get around to reacting the other mcr albums, I’d say to not get your hopes up cause including the black parade they all sound very different. The closest one would be three cheers for sweet revenge but def listen to the black parade b sides, it’s three songs that didn’t it make onto the album but imo they’re just as amazing.
