    So you don't wash and dry your panel?? Before stretching.

    • @HALO_Inspirations
      @HALO_Inspirations 8 днів тому

      Nope...Water will shrink the panel and may distort it in a different way. If you are a prewash person, I would see if it makes a difference in your world. I do not prewash my fabrics. I usually starch yardage, but I do not starch my panels! Great question. Sounds like I need to a science experiment for those that prewash! Thank you!!! And thank you for stopping by! Happy Quilting!

    I use a sister method, fusible webbing strips which offers more cost effectiveness with no loss in utility. I prefer it to spray and to glue basting. I also use my design wall as it works well with gravity to help me keep everything square and straight. Either method allows you to really flatten your quilt with the help fo your iron. Once I went to this method, I've never gone back. Quilt basting really used to be the most dreaded chore; now it is so much easier. Parchment paper works great. I use teflon coated fiberglass mats which work great, and really transfer the heat. They make the best pressing blocks (and can be cut down), and ensures no shine on pressed, raised edges. Thank you for demonstrating your products and methods!

    Loved this technique on a mini quilt. I sewed the binding on the front, wrapped the binding to the back and glued it down with Elmers glue then stitched the binding on the public side. The best machine binding I’ve done so far if I do say so myself and I do say so. The front is perfect, the mitered corners actually have miters in them, and the binding from the back looks pretty darn good. Good results from a technique that I’ve wanted to try for a long time. Thanks for the instructions and inspiration!!

    This was fabulous... And I love these kinds of scrap busting blocks, specially for novelty fabric. You can always cut strips off your fabrics with a ruler in different widths to get straight sides. If you always cut opposite of your selvage to keep that info if needed later.
