So says you, but why should I believe your interpretation of scripture over the thousands of others out there? I choose to believe the Orthodox Church, the Church that faithfully passed down the faith once and for all delivered. Christ did not come to give us a participation trophy so that we avoid the bad place and go to the good place. Nor did God come to punish Himself to save us from Himself. That makes no sense. Christ came to provide us a pure offering in the Eucharist, which all the early Christians understood was His body and blood, and to make a way for us to become like Him, if we act in faith. This is the Christian faith.

God sent this message just for me. My son in law left my pregnant daughter for a mother woman, this week and suggested she terminate her still early pregnancy. His mother came to town to defend him (she knows about his secret porn addiction, drug use, over spending and laziness) and screamed blasphemy at us. I reacted terribly and shouted back. Then, I apologized and told her I loved her and him, but tough love was in order. She screamed more obscenities. I was not a good example of Christs love in that moment and let anger take over. She is angry that we kicked him out of our rental, where he entertains his new completely lost friends. We are a Christian family. He claimed to be a Christian, but has renounced his “faith”. My daughter is a true example of the proverbs 31 woman, and is clinging to Jesus in such a beautiful way. She has handled this much better than me. Satan has been telling me that I blew it, and God is angry with me. I’ve been given several messages of TRUTH and comfort from him, and this was one. Probably saved me from heart failure. Thank you SO MUCH for this message. I’ll be okay. I’ve repented and am trying to love my son in law and his mother and pray for them, but the shame of my behavior lingers. I wish I could turn back time…
