Absolutely beautiful doing a great job is it going to be used as a restaurant?
Tremendous progress folks, such a lot of work completed well.
That steel beam was added a lot later than 1700's as they didn't have steel RSJ's, in the 1700's it would have been a wooden oak beam,
Excellent work. An inspiration for my own slightly smaller, but still overwhelming French farmhouse project. Thank you for sharing. 🙂
Thank you Colin, good luck with your project.
Great job! Looking forward to the next episode. Love from Michigan 💙
Thank you Gina, Glad that you like our little project, all the best from France! Mike

I like small rooms, they can be very cozy and waem with right furnitures , paintings and armachairs
Well done folks, great job complete. Thanks for posting.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for this wonderful presentation & it looks fantastic.
Thank you for the nice comments!
Beautiful room! The thick walls seen by the entry ways or doorways always amaze me! Smaller rooms would have been easier to heat I'd imagine. But it looks much better opened up back to its original size and much better suited for your purpose. Well done guys!!
The walls are very thick, for keeping heat in and cold out but also for defence!! The fire does get this room quite warm :)
I love your lovely stone walls. They look wonderful and a beautiful feature.. I really love and appreciate the explaining of what you are doing and why you are doing it. You have a terrific channel, so enjoyable. Thank You for saving this beautiful Chateau. 👍🫶🦘🦘🐨🐨

Beautiful work again! Would love to hear more about what brought you to the chateau and how you assembled this remarkable team of artisans.

Just the job, what the barn needed to keep it upright, well done folks.
Thank you! It was on the verge of collapse in one corner.
Indeed a great transformation on the barn.
Thank you so much.
Oh my gosh …. Laughed so hard with the cement mixer. 2 wet, 2 dry. The truck driver seemed a “bit confused “. 😂
Yes, he keep trying to adjust the water mix but there was hardly any cement in the mix! He had no chance! Thank you for watching :)
Looking good
Thank you for following us and our project. That barn was a couple of years ago now. Many more videos on the way!

It's so nice that a detail painter is Ambidextrous! I can't do anything with my left hand😢!!!
Ha, Yes! He is very talented.
Enjoyed you and your tour of the chateau!! So excited to see how your projects turn out. Good luck In everything:)
Thank you Billy. You can also find us on Facebook and Instagram.
Lovely renovations. Am sure there is a reason from the red in the entry, however am not a fan.
As with all decor, it is personal taste. Our reasons were that it needed to be dark and to go with the dark wood in the hallway. There was a lot of talking about this choice. Most people love it but some, like you are not fans! Thank you for following us. We are also on FB and Instagram :) Regards Mike
@ and that is a good reason!
Lovely chateau! Good luck with your renovations ❤

@@ChateauResurrection Merci, I will look at them.
I loved the video; I did subscribe and now I am off to part two. Thank you for sharing this.
Found you on youtube, and just have to follow the renovation. It's a really nice building with lots of history. I allow myself to have high expectations for the result. The chateau is right in my spirit. Unfortunately, I won't be of much use as a volunteer, after a serious accident at work that has sent me into retirement Best reguard, Jesper. Denmark
Hi Jesper. Thank you for the nice comments. It is a beautiful old building and very romantic. We hope to have the first 6 bedrooms ready next year for an opening in the spring of 26. All the best and very sorry to hear about your accident. Mike

The roof beams look similar to another château beams designed by Gustav Eifel I saw on another château tour on you tube
Yes, I have seen that style in other chateau.
This will be my favorite room - by far! Love the entire concept.
Thank you so much. I can't wait until we get it finished, when the floor is down and the four poster bed is set up it will look amazing.
Lovely chateau
Thank you, it is a wonderful place
This is so fascinating
Thank you Barbara.
Is your chateau listed as monument historic?
No it is not
The round wooden clings in the towers many times had shackles to put prisoners. Not saying yours were but same time period. They then could hang prisoners there too. There is a chateau with these parts still in place if you want me to find it.
That is interesting. If you can find it send itthat would be really good. Thank you.
Did you know-your roofs, or some roofs of the period, where created to look like ship hulls turned upside down, because the structures were so strong. AND in some cases ship hulls themselves were used to create the roofs. I have never looked at roofs the same way, now understanding this concept.
Yes indeed. This style of roof with the timber crosses is very common. They are known as the St. Andrews cross.
Love it, can’t wait for part 2. The attention to detail is fantastic.
Beau travail
Thank you so much
