Not necessarily. Some people use it to get some extra damage because they don’t need the faster stun, especially if they have M1 Qingyi. For Shiyu defense, Astral Voice buffs could be the difference in killing in 1 stun vs 2 stuns. For this DA cycle I didn’t need the extra stun speed. If anything sometimes I was stunning too fast leading up to the stun cycles with Qingyi ult up.

@ It’s more like use Astral Voice if you have a specific rotation in mind for Shiyu Defense speedruns or Deadly Assault min max runs. Otherwise use 4p Shockstar for most general gameplay. I personally use 4p Shockstar in everything but Deadly Assault for comfortable quick stuns. I don’t try hard on Shiyu lol.

I wonder if the devs have much larger plans for balancing than we’d expect. I’d bet that they have many more character kits already made. When looking at the game balancing with more supports and roles filled out, more disc sets, and game modes, I’d bet stuff like Ether leaning more into crit would make sense. My personal take on CM vs Hormone is that Hormone will age poorly as more difficult and longer form content will be released. As far as I know this is the best DA strat for Zhu Yuan. Mandatory evasive assists to build decibels for ulting every stun and generating shells for each cycle. Hormone Punk timing doesn’t go well with that. That and with Nicole, you can reliably get corruption procs up for stuns. Could change in the future though if ZY’s S rank support isn’t ether.

@dugaree5483 I really hope they are cooking, my copium is a Caesar-style Ether Anomaly with an ATK buff. What I noticed though is for Brimstone w/ 6 stacks, the two are actually within 1% of each other; Hormone only gets 5-8% better with Riot Suppressor depending on mainstats, assuming 100% uptime (my methodology is not peer-reviewed so it may be wrong.)

There are whale Zhu Yuans that have max score lol but as far as I know it's the highest “f2p practical” M0 Zhu Yuan M1S1 Qingyi score. That said I'm about to upload a 59.7k run. I tried for many many hours afterwards for a 60k run but was never able to get it.

I stacked as much buffs and crit damage just to hit the biggest number possible. Definitely not a normal and well balanced build. You can try joining the Mona mains discord for a buncha info on how to build her.
