This is quartzite damage happened when painters fell on a table. Most of the time people think it's not possible to restore but Granite Doctor shows another level of restoration. The painter fell accidentally on a table, the customer was very upset because the same material was used on the kitchen island. And any other slab would not match his kitchen. No tape on the surface of the drill spot, no glasses, and no mask/ventilation- silica particulates is no joke.
So nobody going to recognize the distraction out the window @3:34
Would this method possibly work with a fireclay sink? Thanks.
More likely yes, but you would need softer core bit. Like for marble. This way it would not chip.
Great video. Great presentation. Keep it up, brother! It gets easier and easier with practice, recording yourself.
Thank you for the support. Means a lot.
This video is a full version. Enjoy and let me know your thoughts on it.
where are your safety glasses? "Bad video" and you should put clear tape on the place you are cutting on so you don't splinter the sink or wobble with the drill... BOO!
Perfect awesome
Thanks a lot 😊
I really don't get putting this on the drain ridges so water will drip around facet base. .
What do you mean by angled?
I think he means just as you begin to start at the angle he did as that prevents the tip from skating/flying sideways across your sink, when it initially makes contact with the smooth ceramic surface, then once the drill piece is penetrating the the sink then you can start to point it straight down and so it won't shoot off to the side anymore.
Dolly’s dream, what an expensive repair for a video,,, that stone is about $120 a square foot
TOOLS YOU WILL NEED (Links are in description above) Makita grinder variable speed 5 (its a must, to adjust speed) - amzn.to/3NP4PtU Diamond Core Drill Bit 1-1/4' amzn.to/46FGQGh Badass shop vac that we use (u can go cheaper) - amzn.to/3PTxEIj Safety glasses - amzn.to/3XSrVo7 3M Face mask P100 - amzn.to/3rlFXCw Gloves - amzn.to/44W8iOv Ear plugs - amzn.to/3NN0RBX Scotch Masking tape - amzn.to/3JTiHSN
All good points. Should you drill holes diy? By all means. Buy the tools, do research, try on scrap material first and drill. If a professional can do something, anybody can learn and do it themselves. Suggestion: drill a hole in piece of wood. Clamp it down on the sink and drill inside. This will keep the drill bit from skating and You can even fill it with water this way, for colling and dust reduction.
Thank you for your tip. Great suggestions.
Super job Amazing
Thank you! Cheers!
Wow😮
Lemme get this straight, Im supposed to use high rpm and stare at chipping stone without protecting my only set of eyes???
We use goggles all the time. It was unprofessional from my side to record video like that. My apologies.
goggles?
3:32 what is that majestic creature in the back? looks like a white racoon
My sister dog.
Sir You are not only professional you are highly professional God bless you all the way
But wear glasses next time!!!!!!!
So nice of you.
Great video, I really appreciate your advice. I would advise some eye and hearing protection as well as a dust mask.
Thank you, I use it all the time, just totally spaced out to use it since i was drilling home :))
You shoulda worn goggles
Was that a diamond bit you drilled that hole with?
Most of the faucets or osmosis are 1 inch 1/4'' in. I included link in the description.
Safety glasses. Dust mast, hand gloves. Duct tape on the sink surface stops the drill bit from sliding.
Indeed, I will do next video better. I promise. I decided to teach more, so more videos are coming.
Great video, he has the proper gloves, you're not supposed to have gloves when using rotating tools, the ones he has will rip off so it's not an issue. Just safety glasses, great video.
I have a rounded shank diamond drill bit and a handheld drill with key. How do I keep the drill bit from shifting since it is not a hex drill bit?
Secure your elbows, try on a piece of tile first
You should put an affiliate link for the tools you're using in the description
Thank you for the advise. Just did it. I hate my self for not doing it earlier.
cutting ceramics with no eye protection..
He was lucky!!!!!
@@GaryYoung-eq1ph Indeed.
Hello, we have the same Ikea sink and I am trying to drill a hole for drinking water faucet, but the position of your drill hole has almost 2 inches thickness , if I look under and underneath surface is not a flat surface.
Sehr gut gemacht! Jetzt weiß ich bescheid wie es geht! )
Safety glasses?
great video, but please wear safety goggles!
I do all the time, I was nervous to record my first video.
I don't think so Tim 😕
You rock
no googles!?!?!
Geez I hope y’all charged at least 2k for that
Did you try turning it off and on?
Should've used ramen instead
I dont think ramen would look good in there :D
