As a enjoyer of tall playing and small states in both CK3 and EU4, I also miss a game mechanic that prevents ai countries like the Ottomans or France to just expand endlessly. Like, at some point no coalition can be big enough to stop them and it gets easier for them with each conquered province while I think historically those states would lose a lot of their stability once the ruler dies. CK3 does that a lot better than EU4 and EU4 ist already older than 10yrs, so it's okay. It's just something that could add a little more spice to the late game.

Neither. The starting condition is the same as in the series as far as I know, but then it is just random how the AI countries react to each other.

They don't have good cavalry and cavalry is win in this game tbh 💀

@@europauniversalistimelapse3895 In history in general cavalry was always a win, take a look at the biggest conquests in history, all empires who conquered vast lands had good cavalry and this was a rule until gunpowder

@@europauniversalistimelapse3895 The current modded campaign I'm doing, the Battanians are the strongest kingdom on the map despite my efforts to curtail them, both by playing merc for Vlandia who's getting wrecked right now, and when I went and started building my own kingdom. The only kingdom they've lost against so far (somehow) is mine, and I have only one other clan, and started with three fiefs with virtually no garrison. It's been a tough fight to try to curtail them.

Yeah, it always feels like they had a great game idea, but no clue how to create a solid foundation for their ambition.. it's fine for Warband since mods fix that there, but unfortunately, the Bannerlords community does not seem to be as willing as the Warband community to create great mods

@@europauniversalistimelapse3895 I would disagree on the mod point, the community has made amazing content and continues to do so. At this point it's surpassed warband even.

You can create custom maps and nations in this game, nut this one is just a map I downloaded from the Steam workshop.

@@europauniversalistimelapse3895 Tip: If you have land in a different continent, trade company them. It will reduce governing capacity and give you more traders if you own 51% of the trade node via the companies. Consider it a lite version of colonisation.
