Heralded by BBC Music Magazine as 'a distinctive new voice in a crowded scene’, saxophonist and composer Matt Carmichael continues to move from strength to strength and grow his reach globally with his powerfully emotive blend of Jazz and Folk music. I do a cursory scan through the various jazz albums that get released every week and it's probably about 1 in 10 that actually pique my interest. Marram was one of them. I then saw that the album launch will be at Ronnie Scott's which is pretty much a seal of approval. Feels good to be tapped in... 😄
