Hi friends! I love DIYs, thrifting, and all things crafty. I enjoy learning from some of my favorite crafters and sharing what I make with everyone. I'm hoping to give others some inspiration, like others have inspired me. So, if you enjoy crafts as much as I do, come follow along with my journey. We'll learn together.

Bathroom sign dupe!
Переглядів 503 місяці тому
Hi Everyone and welcome back to my channel. Today I am duping a sign that my daughter wants me to make her for her bathroom. I hope you enjoy it and get some inspiration from it. I did loose audio (I think my mic died) so I used text to voice. Not very cool, but I recovered. Also, I went back and fixed the bottom of the sign where I had messed up the wording. Thank you Mimi...the snowman is so cute
They look like toasted marshmallows!
Where did you get the hat for the snowman?I love his hat.You didn't tell us where you got the hat.I'm 74 I gotta know I've got 3 blocks.I wanna make this little slow man.And I don't know where you got the hat. Please tell us
@dorothylehman4164 The hat, eyes, and nose i got off a snowman ornament that I had purchased from Walmart. It was falling apart, so I used the pieces. It was made with Styrofoam.
I love love these. So adorable. Mod Podge and I dont get along either. When I learned of the allowing it to dry- then putting parchment paper on it and using heat- it was a game changer. If its a surface i cant do that on- i struggle. But these are adorable.
@Craftingwithamy thank you, Amy.
Commenting for the algorithm Gods! Keep it up Momma! And for future projects with Modge Podge, you wanna scrape the bubbles out. Use the back of an old credit card and that should work!
@tinyplays95 thank you baby girl!
@@MimisDIYJourney Of course Momma! Oh I updated my comment too! It won't ping if I do that l think, and if you heart a comment and someone edits their comment, it'll take your heart off. Just for reference!
I’m confused, when do you use the primer and terra cotta? How?
So sorry to bug. I was hoping to work on my snowmen today, so if you have a few minutes to spare to answer this question, that would be great. So excited for this project. I plan to make 12 of these cuties.
Please please please.
Not sure why you are not replying to me? Just the terra cotta question. What is that used for?
The nose was plastic, so I put a coat of Primer on it and then painted it with the terracotta.
Im same way. I decorate for fall- no halloween. We dont participate in halloween.
Very nice haul and pillow. I wish I could show you all the primitive dolls my Mother has made. My craft room is decorated with them. She would get patterns from Smoky Mountains- everywhere. She gave me her rusty bells, stars, hearts, pins as she doesn't make them anymore. Great job
@@Craftingwithamy i wish I could see those too. You'll have to make a short video and show off your dolls.
@MimisDIYJourney I've been meaning to do just that.
he's adorable,,,LOVE, love love!
@@aliceklahn thank you
Me again with another question. You mentioned folk art clear primer? Where did you get that? Also, the distress ink and dauber? How did you distress the blocks since you didn’t do on camera?
@@lorimalone1350 FolkArt, Clear Primer, 8 oz, 8 Fl... www.amazon.com/dp/B085M3KZX7?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share amzn.to/4fcHgHG I used a sanding block to lightly distress.
@lorimalone1350 the dangers I got from Temu but these can also be bought on Amazon.
I meant daubers. Silly auto correct.
So adorable. I have a bunch of primitive tags and dolls my mother made. TFS.
What did you use for the nose? ?
@lorimalone1350 the nose and eyes I took off a snowman ornament that I purchased from Walmart that was falling apart.
Ok thank you. Also, what size are the dice cubes? Couldn’t find at Dollar Tree so I will need to order from Amazon.
@lorimalone1350 i believe i ordered those online from dollar tree. It say 1.5 inch. 38 mm.
@lorimalone1350 i am wrong. I found those in the store. But you can order online. I think it was 12 packs for 15.00. The skull number is 344520.

@Craftingwithamy yes Nashville is right down the road from Brown County. I love it down there.
He is so cute. You made his personality shine.
Commenting to appease the algorithm Gods! Super cute Momma! I love those so much! ❤️
Oh how cute! I love his hat and the way you painted him!♥️
Thank you!
Commenting to appease the algorithm Gods! These DIY's are super cute, and I know Grandpa would absolutely love to watch these if he was still around! Keep up the amazing work, Momma! Let your creativity shine bright like a diamond! Proud of you, and I love you to the moon and back, to infinity and beyond! ❤️❤️

@MimisDIYJourney you're welcome and thank you.
I loveeeee these pumpkins and need them in my house
@PaulineSmith-gf1qf thank you! Please check out Linda's channel where I got this idea. Hers are much prettier.
I would not give it to anyone with the way the words are seperated it looks very sloppy .
Even though my daughter loved the sign, your comment made me feel bad. Even though I knew it was the truth. I do appreciate your feedback though. As soon as I got home tonight, I fixed it. It does look much better now. I thought I could show you the photo, but I don't see how to attach. I hope I can figure that out so you can see.
