This video is how I custom modded a 1930's Dual Crystal Microphone and installed an Audio Technica AT2020 Capsule. It was almost a perfect fit and It looks and sounds great. I think it's an interesting build and It's a very usable mic for the studio.

An Overview and sound demo of my 1983 Yamaha DX7. I explain some famous 80s songs that it was used on, Classic ROM patches and show you the components inside the unit. - Correction - The DX7 did not have the red glue issue. That was my Roland VK-7 actually. However the battery level is something to be aware of.

This is how I create a string section effect using a single violin in UAD Luna. I recorded a Silakowski re-voice violin with a Townsend Labs Sphere stereo mic into my Universal Audio Apollo 8 into UAD Luna. I apologize for the poor quality audio and video. There are a few of these tutorials I have had to pull down from other platforms due to not having the original files.

Quick video showing the Moog Theremini Theremin as a CV Control for the Moog Sub 37. Very simple. Plug a cable into the back of the Theremini in the CV out and into any of the four CV ins on the Moog Sub 37.

Quick unorganized sound demo for the Behringer Deepmind 12 Polyphonic Synthesizer. Apologies for the rough shaky video. I just pieced these clips together after I sold this piece of gear. I was very happy with how it sounded. However I didn't find it to be very stage friendly for my on stage workflow.

RCA Victor Transistor Six Antique Radio Converted to 9v Guitar Amp

This is a non working RCA Transistor Six Radio that I converted to a 9v Battery powered guitar amp. I would have preferred to have restored the original radio but it was too far gone. More of a conversation piece than anything. Thanks for checking it out.

I call this the "Wurganizer" my custom modded Viscount Legend solo with built in Yamaha Reface CP and Korg Monologue. I disassembled the 3 units and mounted the circuit boards of the CP and Korg inside the Viscount. I just run them via midi as modules into my Viscount and route the audio through a custom A/B/Y switch that I mounted onto the side panel of the Organ. They can all 3 also run stand...

A quick overview and inside look at my vintage Hohner D6 Clavinet. We'll look inside at the harp, strings, tuners, pickups and how it works. A brief example of how it sounds and how I use it on stage. The Hohner D6 Clavinet is an Electric Clavichord made in Germany between 1964 and 1982.

How do you connect your Theremin to your Sub 37? I have an original Theremin so it may be different but I was curious. Thanks.
I'm pretty sure the original Theremin should have CV output jacks for whatever you can control. They should be labeled CV Pitch, CV Gate, CV Volume, ect. That will dictate which part of the Theremin sends CV Commands. The Moog Sub 37 has 4 CV inputs to choose from, Pitch, Gate, Filter and Volume. Just link them accordingly and you should be good. I believe you may have to have a balanced cable. I'm not 100% on that.
@ my theremin has cv knobs but they aren’t 1/4” jacks like the audio out. They are just knobs for adjusting each one. Are you referring to something else. Also, thanks for the help.
@@michaelwuliger837 Is your Theremin the Moog Etherwave? If you just have knobs thats say Pitch and Volume those are to control the level of your Theremin I believe. If there aren't any Output jacks that say CV then yours may not have that option. I know some have some CV control on the bottom. If yours is old school then It may not have CV. However that makes it cooler and worth more actually.
@ I appreciate your help. Unless these outputs are hidden, all I have are the knobs corresponding to the volume, pitch, waveform. A 3.5mm or 1/4” out is not there. Unless I have to unscrew a cover or something

What about Eno's DX7 ambient sounds? While many people think of the DX7 slap bass, Taco Bell, and electric piano patches, Eno used it for beautiful ambient textures, especially on his Apollo album.
Absolutely! I have another video I'm posting soon on how I actually use the DX7 on stage. I use it as a Poly Synth for Ambient textures more than anything. Its also a great hardware option for the types of sounds that I would get from a VST such as Serum. This thing is kind of a poor mans Prophet for me.
The red goo problem happened to some Roland JD800s, D70s and the Rhodes 660/760, which all used the same keybed. The red goo is the glue that fixes the weights in each key in place, it gets soft over time. So weights fall off and the goo very slowly flows wherever gravity takes it. But none of it gets inside the machines and destroys anything. Some synths had some weird third of an AAAsized (the exact name just escaped me) for keeping their patches stored. Those could leak and destroy something on the respective board. That could happen in KORG Polysixs, some early Ensoniq synths and GEM S2/3s. I am sure there are some more around that used this kind of battery.

I've never had that that issue with anything thankfully. I think I actually got this thing mixed up with the Roland VK7 I had that had the red glue removed. I was told their was some sort of similar issue with the DX7's but I definitely know the battery can be an issue.
Give me a moog synth, a Hammond B3 or C3 or a mellotron anytime.......

Sounds too percussive. Is there a way to add more glide and/or appreciation?
Depending on what hardware or VST you are using glide may or may not be possible. However you can adjust your attack setting and that will probably give you the result you are looking for.
