YOUR slides are so complicated they are almost unintelligible. A mental map (slide) should have some organizing principles, which yours lack. The best diagram or principle is a number line. Low, Medium, and High are the most intuitive ways to organize it, not by putting the road through the middle. A more straightforward number line could show the 3 scenarios, not 3 crunched-up little section boxes out of order. Your cutesy phrase "less is more, more is less" does not work in this situation bc the analogy is all wrong. You are not simplifying the explanation but making it more difficult to comprehend. On the contrary, you put too much information on one slide. The fonts are of different sizes, colors, and designs. This is a recipe for complications, not ease. I have been an educator at the college level, and this would not help the vast majority of students.

Why no one says right off the bat who issues each letter? For example, the representation letter is issued by management, which would be no presumption of prior knowledge. All the review courses do not state some of the basics as a refresher.

Im in my mid 40’s and studied accounting in high-school and have a B.A. in Business Administration with a minor in accounting. I really want to go back and get my Masters to become a CPA! I’ve worked in education for the last 8 years and it is no longer fulfilling. Any advice for someone such as my self who’s older but not sure of these companies are only looking for young talent?

How about they discuss higher salaries for the profession. We are touted as having to have similar education to lawyers and doctors, but don’t get paid near what they do. Instead of making the profession better you make it so that CPAs have to compete against TurboTax/Intuit and advocating to outsource the profession. Shame on the AICPA.

Can you explain why did you Debit Prepaid expense for the adjustment? Was not the $6000 already prepaid and we are now expensing (recognising) $600 now, and therefore credit Prepaid?
