Homestake Trail Single Track Downhill - Lead Deadwood South Dakota
The new single-track downhill trail off the Homestake Trail connecting from Lead to Deadwood South Dakota. This is a moderately challenging section of the trail that is brand new as of July 2024.

The Black Hills Ski Team held their gated and timed race on February 4th, 2024 at Terry Peak South Dakota. While the weather was foggy and damp, the snow conditions were very good. The race was located on Empress and lasted just a few hours. The awards ceremony took place at the Stewart Slope Lodge.

A 9.17 mile bike ride starting at the Lead Trailhead going to the Sugarloaf Trailhead, following towards the Englewood Trailehead and turning left down the Kirk Trailhead Turnoff, to the Kirk Trailhead and up the old Homestake Road back into Lead. Took roughtly 49 minutes and there was 795 feet of elevation gain.
