I'm not Pentecostal but I am Christian and I'm thinking of not cutting my hair. It was waist length and a year ago I had it cut. The hairdresser cut it way too short and I felt traumatised. I instantly regretted it and I grieved for my long hair.
Never let condemnation take control over you, I’ve learned everyday is a new day and scripture says His mercies are new everyday. ❤️

Wow! 👏👏 what a wonderful testimony very deep and powerful. It's nice to see women who want to honour God with their long hair by not cutting it again. I hope you will inspire other ladies to do the same, hopefully yours grows long enough like you want lol. Don't worry about the hair ends the Lord will take care of that. I love this testimony. As someone who was raised pentecostal I struggled with this as a kid. I wanted to wear pants so bad and felt resentful and forced to wear skirts. I backslid for a year and then repented. And that's when I went back to wearing skirts but it was my choice to wear skirts this time. And I agree sometimes people look so outwardly holy but do some things that kind of make you scratch your head. So yes I think that holiness standards are very important but it is so important to fall in love with Jesus first. My Mother in law got filled with the Holy Ghost and baptized in Jesus name (hallelujah Jesus) and she hesitated coming to church because she thought she had to change and she asked me why we can't wear pants. So I told her that actually there is no verse in the bible that says you can't wear pants but the bible teaches woman to be modest and I know for me that I don't think I'm very modest in pants because how tight they are but that was my conviction and I just wanted her to come as she was and keep praising God and getting renewed in the Holy Ghost. Of course I'd love for her to get there but I guess for me as I see her growing in the word of God and staying full of the Holy Ghost that is more important and God has his way of working on us. He's still working on me too.

I have a question for you. What are your thoughts about men with very long hair? My two braids fall down to my ankles. When unbraided my hair is a bit beyond floor length and I can actually step on it if I am not careful. For that reason I only wear Minnetonka soft soled Thunderbird moccasins for I do not want to damage my tresses. I often get odd looks or am told I should cut my hair so I look like a man. To be honest, it is so long now I do not know if I could bring myself to cut my hair at all. What are your thoughts on a man having beyond floor length hair? Would you think it is TOO long and should be cut? Any advice would be appreciated. I really like my hair and actually would like to grow it longer but I am feeling societal pressures. Thanks. I guess I am asking if you would be OK with a man with hair like mine if that were the case?
