I found out how to use it as a countdown timer, off the online instructions which are much more detailed. first press UP until it shows ON or Auto On just left of the time. Next press menu twice to go into CTD mode, shown upper right of time display. Input the time hours; ok; minutes; ok; seconds: ok and it then automatically is in countdown, (CTD) and shows ON Time CTD. After your time it goes off. The UP button is the key.

HPM, please do this video again and address the questions, and show us examples and go slower Eg I get the timer and I just want it to run a fan for 2 hours and then turn off, how do we do that without having to mess with days of the week of the specific time of day, just on now for 2 hours then off? Not impressed, after watching twice he never shows how to set up the current time, or is that what he is doing in the first segment, I'm not sure. If I spend an hour or so I may be able to program it, but then the next time I come to use it ??? how did I do that again? Actually all I want is to timer my battery charge to turn off after 4 hours so as not to overcharge things. This could be any time of the day. So again I'm not sure this can do that without putting in specific times. Is that what he covered in the last segment, not sure.

NB: this video is very unclear. BUT... You have to start by lifting ALL the segments up ( use a small flat head screwdriver rather than busting your finger nail), then push down the segments you would like to have power for.

I am so glad to see the comments relate to how I am feeling. I have never had so much trouble understanding a manual…and this video??? I would rather the thing I’m trying to program to turn off automatically just burn the building down at this point…also who on earth requested there be a ‘random mode’ 😩

On the one that goes from 12am-12pm then 12pm-12am. Can you show an example of how to push the numbers down to show a time from pm ..for eg from 6pm to 6am it's confusing having like 2 full clock times all on one clock and the arrows confuse me even more😅😅. An example of you pushing it down with camera up close so can see would be great. The dark side is from 12 midnight till 12 noon then the light side omg.. aargh

Ive tried setting this up for on at 6am and off at 10pm but its not doing what its ment too has anyone had trouble with it coming on? Im so cofused

I bought three. Couldn't get them to work even following instructions exactly. Got my tech son to set them up. "OK Dad, should work now". NOt. In the bin with all three. Got my old manual ticker one out, 2 mins to set, works perfectly. IN THE BIN WITH HMP!!
