This isn't the best but i don't think there aee any other audiobooks on Asimov's robot novels still on UA-cam

Took me a few chapters to be sure this was being read by AI, rather than just occasional human error. I generally don't enjoy the idea of AI audiobooks but they are getting better and seems quite fitting for this story - like being read a bedtime story by your own robot.

A windy story. Oh an the two circles do not touch. There is a air gap between them, past the showers. Also could have taken a cop car outside to th gap. The robot has not had cop training. He is not even a real detective. The spacers is not even circle. Each has a yard 1:00:01

The reader sounds a bit too machine-like. Of course, that's the way the character Detective Elijah Bailey would talk. It's the 'Sam Spade' archetype that Bogart made famous. Anyway, seems like a productive way for you to produce copy for UA-cam.

Am assuming (and hoping) that Robots of Dawn will follow this audiobook? AI voices are still missing the different character voices that good narrators use, when that happens audiobook readers may be out of a job!

It seems strange that the replacement chief librarian is described as "Progressive" as a complement, in the context, someone favouring continuing policy of his predecessor is a conservative. I wonder if this is an artifact of the time the book was written, an example of the political bias of the time with people believing it normal to equate change with good.

This AI voice cannot correctly pronounce the name of the main character. That is important for understanding the story. This is a rather significant failure in the reading. Skip this. Find a reading by a human.

Stanislaw Lem reused the concept of intimacy-induced hysteria in his "Return from the Stars" ('61), albeit in a slightly different take: centuries of relativistic space travel return man to earth to find entire civilization "bezatret"-ed, that is, made hormonally incapable of violence or even imagining it. The old timer, not having the procedure done as fetus, causes everyone around him to be constantly catatonic with panic, when they learn he is Capable of Violence. The "romance interest" female character was written in two: one was the "pervert", the other was the delicate flower being suffocated, but it was the protagonist doing the suffocating, not the society. The roles of robots and humans around violence were also reversed - it was up to the bots to make the hard decisions now and then and keep it real quiet-like, so that humans wouldn't accidentally imagine suffering... Come to think of it, that was as clean an antiplagiarism ("carbon copy, but exact opposite :P") as I've seen, I suppose... The specific kind of eugenics vibe is strongly present in Gattaca, sth like "after the turmoil is done, stagnation sets in". (for comparison in Trek, eugenic society didn't win and in Almost Human, it's only getting started). 3:42:24 it was 1956, and with the stroke of a pen, Asimov (if no-one beat him to it), invented online gaming.

I disagree. Asimov tends to have lots of 'talking heads' and exposition and is not great on characterisation but I like his plots and his subversions.
