Looks like good times. I know that pond and consider secret safe with me! Cool vid!
Haha we appreciate that!
Great video Boys lots of great gear looks great
Great video nice saw i have the 240 works great
They’re awesome saws!
Great day out nice fishing trip
Awesome job bys!
Great second part to this adventure guys. Love the scenery!!
Really beautiful up there. I can't wait to hike in the barren plateaus like that I've wanted to for a while. Are there berries up there?
Not a lot grows up there, didn't notice any berries.
Awesome scenery. A true wilderness hike. I didn't realize caribou roamed so far south. Glad to see your knees held up.
Looks like a great place to explore with all those wide open views! If you can get your hands on some Trader Joe's banana chips, just add quick oats and sunflower seeds, cinnamon, maybe chocolate, and you've got a killer "dehydrated" breakfast at a fraction of the price of packaged ones! Plus it tastes good 😅
That sounds like it would be awesome - thanks for the tip!
Another great outing and another 'to do' when I next visit. Can't wait for the Part 2
Another great hike guys. You two are a great pair to take on those large hikes. Looking forward to the next!
Where's the rest of the adventure????
Part two will be out very soon - stay tuned!
He was my principal in school grate video and nice place to spend time together. Family is number one ..
Like it! excellent view,Jaunts!=)
Fantastic! Such a beautiful place, and you guys really look like you're having a great time... delicious lunch! Future suggestion: shore fishing in the ocean and shellfish, etc foraging? Look forward to seeing more!
Great little hike guys! I lived in the area a few years ago but didn't know about that trail.
Wow! How could you not love that scenery. Thanks so much, looking forward to the next video.
Great to see you both out enjoying what Newfoundland has to offer. Hiked the loop back in 2005 as a day hike. The way back was brutal over steep elevation. It seemed a bit more primitive then, definitely no camping or outhouses or benches. Did another day hike along Long Pond Brook into Tablelands. It might be of interest to your viewers or at least your geology viewers!! Love your content.
Gorgeous scenery my friend. Trail looks so exotic and somehow “atmospheric”! Spectacular views 👌👌
Very well done video! Great having a geology buff along for sure.
Some jaunt
I love hearing dad nerd out about things he's interested in like geology; it's great to see him excited like that 😊
Great Video! It seems like it took you ~ 8 hours with breaks from Snug harbour to north rim. Did you need a compass/GPS at all for the north rim view point...I was thinking of attempting to do a day hike from the parking lot up to the view point and back. How long did it take from parking lot to snug harbour?
Glad you enjoyed it! GPS was definitely helpful. To be honest, we wouldn’t suggest doing it in one day. Not only would it be quite the challenge (26 km and 1,000+ m of elevation gain), but the views along the way are stunning. I would do at least one night at Snug Harbour to be able to fully appreciate the scenery, but ultimately I guess it is technically possible to do in one day!
@@jauntsontherock Amazing! Thanks! What GPS did you use?
@@blubelsky we mostly used the AllTrails app and downloaded the two routes ahead of time!
Great video guys , hello from Stephenville !!!!
Windy weekend for sure, we tried to go off too but no good, great video 👍
A great boil up anyway. It's the journey not the destination my friend. That's a shame the birds got them.........next time. Yup, not the best day but the catch was great!
Gooooooood eating!
Amazing videos - thanks for documenting your trip so the rest of us can enjoy it from afar!
Outstanding adventure guys, I've always wanted to fish Indian Brook, perhaps this year it will happen. Beautiful looking river. Wonderful job on the B-Roll and editing. Down river with the wind to your back, now that's a perfect recipe for covering a river and helping keep the flies at bay...
Just catching up to you guys on here, enjoying watching your videos past few days. Keep them coming.
Great defination of the NL terms and moose meat. The french press is the best darn you left it behind. I think I would have strained it in a sock or something to get me coffee.......lol. Oh the secrets...........
Can i join one of your adventures here in NL soon?
Hey guys. Just started tuning into your channel awhile ago. Great stuff. I do much the same type of excursions. So relaxing. Keep it up. 13:01
Dandy feed B’ys
I love watching your excursions! Can’t wait to see what those “Big Secrets “ are!
Nice video. I love trouting as well. and always better with father and son.
Is this near Maccle's Brook? Would love to join your next outdoor adventure, if that's ok. I'm new to NL but been an outdoorsman all my life. Currently living in Glovertown, NL.
Awesome video!!!! I would love to do that!
Thanks for the shout out Mr.Hillier, loved the video
Great video.. looks relaxing
Looks like a great location for a short getaway. Thanks for sharing. I'd say no problem to call it a "hot" tent with that stove going. And kudos for the CO detector tip.
I've never had an issue but it never hurts to play it safe.
I'm going in reverse here. I think I see how you made the tents and stoves. Great job on making it work and very economical way of doing it for sure, I like it.
Great little outing there for sure. I am assuming you modified the tent with a stove jack from Amazon or something like that. Is that a 4 person tent? What did you sleep on, just a sleeping bag on the floor? I'm from Central NL, where abouts is this trip at?
I made a stove jack from some high temp silicone and fiberglass mat and I used a FE Active cot, and Thermarest sleeping pad. The location is between the communities of Springdale and Kings Point. Thanks for the questions.
Enjoyed the video! Looked like a nice relaxing trip… food looked good too!!
Gros Morne is a breathtaking part of NL, It is a must to visit for me.
Would this be near Gander?
A couple hours or so west of Gander!
What a good time. Treasure those moments with your dad! Life is short
I certainly will, he's the best! - Aaron
Curious…is dad ex-military?
No , just have family in the military and law enforcement that's where the sweater came from. I am however a volunteer firefighter. Thanks for the question and interest.
Those are some pretty cool hot tents
