@@DaddyBusAdventures armor, 33s, and gears will go a long way! Look at boxrocket ome build on tacomaworld, he does some work. I can't wait to go again. Super stressful the first day but by the 3rd I was addicted.

@@Pyrolytic_Lifestyle Cool. I'll take a look boxrocket's build. I live only 10 miles from Hollister Hills SVRA, so will do some practice runs here first and I know what you mean with stress. Out on Rubicon if you're not with a group you could get seriously hosed.

For the track, R6 is better in every way right out of the gate, better suspensions, better brakes, sportier engine and frame. On the street it kinda sucks, boring engine at legal speeds, cramped position, not good for maneuvering in town either. SV 650 is a good street bike and a well known track bike. It's cheaper but you are going to have to swap some parts for track use, starting with suspensions, especially fork oil and springs depending on your abilities and weight. For the street it's excellent, fun engine. In both cases you will have to make some sacrifice in terms of suspension settings for street or track. Street setup won't work for long if you go to the track regularly. And conversely a track set up will beat you up on the street and won't comply with bumps, road imperfection, potholes etc. Ideally get a dedicated track bike, and if you can't I would go with the SV, it's much more versatile.
