7:36 The shot of Checo with the fireworks is all time F1 history. Even without the context it's still an amazing image. But adding that this was Checo's last race at Racing Point. This was Racing Point's last race as a constructor, after all the ups and downs the team had as Force India and RP, never having won a race as a constructor. Checo, the team built around him, having sacrificed his own money to keep the team together as Force India fell apart, having fought as a Mexican driver to move to Europe with little support, with no contract for the next year, and strongly looking to have no further seat at any team, after years of being a solid midfield driver and having an excellent 2020 season so far. His final race, in the team's final race, in the final race of the season. A crash at that start put him in plumb last. And he fought his way up the grid and he won. He fucking won. That's what it's fuckin all about. I saw it live and it was simply amazing.

At 56:13 Radio 5 cuts to a football report that goes on for two and a half minutes. I felt this was too long to be away from the on-track action so I edited in the sky sports commentary for that part.

26:23 Andrew Benson's assessment of the Perez situation misses one important point; that this is nothing new. Once upon a time, to partner Sebastian Vettel, Red Bull recruited a well regarded driver by the name of Mark Webber. After a while he lost form and got labelled 'Number 2 driver'. A few years later Ricciardo was good enough to win some races. Then they tried, IIRC, every driver from their feeder team. Each one, apparently, the best of the bunch and each one fell down the rackings. Then, when enough questions were asked, they decided to look outside the box and recruited Perez who was doing well at the time. I remember thinking that he would buck the trend and with Verstappen they'd both drive off into the sunset. But once again the second driver has just got worse and worse and now they can't even agree on a driver from the feeder team. Whilst this has been going on there's Mercedes where either driver can win on both Saturday and Sunday, Mclaren with two drivers that can lock out the front row, and Ferrari where their drivers are so equal that questions were asked when they decided to sack one. I don't know why Red Bull can only field one driver and I suspect they don't either but it stands to reason that it must be to do with a deep rooted issue in the team.
