Our Honeymoon to Disney World and Universal Studios
My plasti dipped emblems have started to peel a little and I want to restore it and paint it again. I have to choices. 1) paint again the emblems without removing all the plasti dip, or 2) remove the plasti dip with goo gone. You should know that the emblems are on top of the car paint.
Will a tune get rid of the check engie light?
Can I just drill a few holes and leave the rest of the cat material in place? I just want to free up some crispness in the exhaust note and a fee hp
why can't i drill a 1" hole all the way through to just relieve back pressure? or will the stuff inside crumble & the replug ??????????
That should work but expect the stuff inside to eventually fly out your tailpipe over time hollowing itself out.. shouldn’t clog it back up
Thank you for cleaning up. This is excellent, thank you for the advice.
Hilarious i love how you added the cats. Very cool
Thought this was a tutorial
My subaru has plugged up cats in its old age. Glorious boxer sounds here i come
did it work,
Can't you just use a bigger hole saw?
Tried it and it didn't work
Did you have any issues with factory tune being catless?
My cat is clogged. If I do this will it keep my truck from misfiring and shutting off
the saleen i just bought was plasti dipped, trying this tomorrow
What’s the name of that spray ??
Goo gone
@@MrCampanthony1 Thanks 🙏🏻 I hope find it in Mexico
what about your PCM? will a auto pcm out of a 11-12 work in a 13-14?
I was looking for old 80s car solution where cat melted inside. Usually caused by too lean or too rich condition. My solution was a direct fit "track or test pipe" (straight pipe) to replace melted cat. However, no aftermarket test pipe for a Z31, have to use a custom exhaust shop. More expense, so 2nd solution was to remove melted ceramic and rare metal materials from inside cat. electric or air powered chisel from box store will do this easier than a hammer. I would not recommend blowing this material airborne however, that is not inert non-toxic material. Old cars in my State don't have to have emission tests. Old pre OBD2 cars usually have O2 sensor in front of the Cats not behind CAT so nothing to cause error.
Stuck at how to take the clamp off my intake 🥲 darnnnn
A long beater and a pair of lineman. Electrician style.
I agree with you my whole car was wrapped in plexi dip I've been bringing it back to the natural look again and I'm a restoration guy and a bodyguard but I learned that if I keep a can of acetone with you but I bought a can of primer paint remover and it as soon as I put it on there it just Bubbles and came right off and you could use lacquer thinners too if you put locker dinners up and eats it up right away and it doesn't take the paint off your car so that works immediately but then cans are like like 12 bucks a piece but let me tell you I was having a hard time you know and I was using the heat gun and but when I put the locker dinners on it they came right off it just bubbled up it came right off and he bought a can of the paint primer remover and you just spray it on there and he eats it right up and after
IF your catalytic is of the Metal matrix variety..... NONE of the above works !!
Can I use this method on door trim? Will it damage the rubber seals of doors?
Bro great video you actually explained shit
I got my car scanned with one of those readers and it said I had a bad catalytic converter.. my friend who knows about cars told me that instead of replacing it I could just "knock out the fiberglass". I'm assuming this is what he meant but not totally sure. If there is anyone here that could tell me if this is what I should do, that would be vert helpful. thaks
What was the issues you had with ABS?
The abs module is vin locked to the ECU. I wasn't able to get them to link together. I would have to get a new ABS module and have it programmed to my ECU but I just live with my ABS light on for now.
Are you able to turn off advanced track still?
@@andrewybarra2304 Since my ABS module doesnt work at all, it is always off.
I bought a set used Ford racing mufflers exactly the same as those and they sound very tiny and Halo like the packing has been burnt out of them is that how yours were or are they more like a flowmaster black style
I would agree they sound very halo and when you really step on it, its like they get even quieter.
@@SKEETERRACING so there's no parking in these like fiberglass
brixton hat ftw!!!! i got the same lid!
The best you say. This is actually like the fourth Easiest way to remove Plastidip. 3rd is gasoline 2nd is kerosene 1st and best is Dipdisolver .
Ceramic is easy, but what about metallic filters?
Thanks for the info...going through this right now!
very helpful✌️👍
Hey bro, you just got a follower out of me from the “Clean up your mess” segment. It’s the little things 🤙🏼🌎🙏🏼
POV: You’re here because you just bought a used car whom some jack hole thought Plastidip was a revolutionary thing.
While its easier to sell a manual and buy the auto sometimes thats not a great option. Bone stock car, sure. But in my case its a one year only color and iptioned exactly how i wanted. Also did a bunch of work to it. So if i ever wanted to auto swap it i would just do the work to keep the car. Honestly i have been thinking about it just because its faster😂 also, my wife cant drive stick so road trips are out as we hust drive till we get there (even across the country)but i love the visceral feeling of shifting gears.
I don't know man. This seems illegal. What would the good lord say? 😆
Watching shit like this… makes me hate living in California more and more and more😤😤
Will this work on my '06 4.6 mustang?
what did you find out? i drive the same car and am trying to see if my high flow cats are clogged. i wanna delete them but i’m scared it will just run worse if i don’t get a tune for it
@@cadensunsdahl4837same let me know pl
If i delete the cats after the upstream that means i only have 1 o2 hole. can this work with only the upstream sensor holes or i need both up/down ?
That popcorn came out🤣👍🏿
Anyone do this on a 6.0 ls?
Thinking of trying on a 5.7ls1, she's 20 now. Full headers ceramic coated 1⅞ to 3" collectors with true dual exhaust. She keeps throwing codes and needs a dyno, but intermittent full send power. I'll do more research as there's 2 or 3 months for car season here in Michigan and let you know.
@@jeffadams4590 nice man yeah i wanna get catless true duals without a tune
Did you still have the hollowed out cats?
This video is what I've been looking for! I bought a 2011 GT with long tube headers, cattless x-pipe, and Roush axle-backs this fall. You explained everything I was feeling with it being amazing when WOT but very impractical everywhere else. I do a lot of autocross and SCCA technically limits the sound level to 100dB (but most regional clubs don't care). My car metered at 117dB, so I definitely need to quiet it up. I'll be shopping for Ford Racing or GT500 mufflers now!
THERE ARE WAY TOO MANY MORONS ON UA-cam TELLING YOU TO DO REAL STUPID SHIT. ONCE YOU DO THIS YOU WILL NEVER PASS INSPECTION AGAIN. IT WILL FLASH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND MOST LIKELY A PO420 CODE BECAUSE THE POST O2 SENSOR WILL RECOGNIZE THAT IT IS DUMPING WAY TOO MUCH EMISSIONS.
One way to f up ur paint!!! Don’t do this guys
So give a solution instead of just saying dont do this
Bruh my boosted 2v EATS coyotes. But then again I have 30,000 into the motor hahahaha
#LONGLIVETHEKA
They said my converter manifold was clogged could I do this with it
Awesome car, excellent times! What was the exhaust setup here?
Thanks man! Longtube headers, catless X pipe and Roush axle backs.
Great video! I'm curious to know if this axle back actually got rid of the rasp and slappy tone? I recently got Longtubes and Catless Xpipe with the Roush axleback I already had and it sounds exactly how you described. It's a terrible sound! I'd really appreciate a response please, thanks.
The ford racing mufflers definitely got rid of the slappy raspy tone, but over all was very quiet.. Just a little bit louder than stock.
@@SKEETERRACING oh ok wow. Thanks for the response. Did you keep those or did you go with something else after?
@@jonathanvazquez9685 I ended up going back to the roush mufflers... I have been looking around at other axlebacks but havent decided which ones to drop the money on yet... haha
@@SKEETERRACING I hear ya! Same here man
Will this work on a chrome rear bumper??
