Scorching Hot 40 degree Ride Through Paphos Forest in Cyprus. XRV750 Africa Twin, Yamaha Tenere
What a day this was. 12 hours in the saddle and 320 km total distance ridden. Action packed with bike drops, a flat tyre and puncture repair.
It was 40 degrees at lower altitudes but I was prepared this time with lots of hydration and even electrolyte.

Bikers' Paradise in Cyprus. What a place to ride.

I had heard about this place but didn't know it was called Bikers' Paradise. Well I had to see it and I was not disappointed one bit. I plan to go back in the spring and camp out and just spend a whole day riding the hills.
Gopro's stabilization is mental. The shaky fender of the XR600R doesn't bother my Hero 8 black.

I really enjoyed making this video. Laughing all the time while editing it. Had a great ride with Tom and solid learning experience on the loosest surface ever on the hottest day ever. XRV750 and Tenere probably only ADV bikes that can survive such abuse.

Disabling stabilization looked pretty cool actually, especially seeing an older bike made it feel like a much older video, retro style

There was a body of water! Why didnt you jump in? I did that in Monte Grappa recently several times. Full dressed. Heatstroke is serious, man!
The reservoir was at the start of the ride. Body core temperatures were still in the green zone at that point lol. But I wouldn't have hesitated if it was later on when the crisis started 😅

Riding a 1993 RD07 for years now and not even once have I downshifted from second into neutral, unless it was on purpose... It is usually not that "easy" without wanting to.... unless ofcourse you are too soft on the pedal or have clutch/lever problems ... just saying.... Al said.... awesome video... would you mind telling us where that is?? It looks very spanish.....looks challenging ;-)

to make sure u are in first downshift from second to first more times right before take ur foot of !!! its not a big tip but thats helps me a lot to make me sure i downshift to first and i dont get dead time on neutral!!!!

There's a limit what you can do in the heat. Saw 110* degrees in Utah riding the TAT and it totally drained my energy. Tom needs to get a XTZ 750 Super Ténéré.😁

Hey man.. Thanks for the comment. I use a gopro hero 8 black. Sometimes I take the time to move the camera around. Ideally I'd have a second camera to switch things up a little

@@AfricaTwinAdventuresSpain Its actually quite enjoyable. I am getting pretty good at using capcut to edit as well (this is the real work lol) My gopro8 black gets frighteningly hot at times but as long as I am moving, the wind keeps it cool enough to operate properly. I plan to get another used one. Also gonna get the X1 Hoverair drone. Then my vids will be on a whole new level LOL.
@@BobOdogwu yeah Bob, many say the work is in the editing but at least we'll be learning something new which is also 😎 thanks for the info on the GoPro I think I'll be buying one sooner than later as prices will continue to drop due to competition also 😎 I was looking at the Hover Air drone recently but I'm thinking to wait for their next version as this one follows you automatically but very slow from what I've read so surely there will be a faster one on the market soon I hope, that would be awesome 👍

@@DohanyTamas for mostly onroad and very light offroad use sure. If you can get a cheapish one in good condition you will have a reliable first bike. But if you are planning to become really good at riding offroad then I don't recommend it. Instead go with something much MUCH lighter to start with and then test a heavier bike offroad before deciding.
