The gradient map doesnt work for me. It just fills the object with one color in my case.
Because you didn't applied any effect let's say smudge or soft brush (anything) if you don't apply any effect, then you cannot able to see gradient color. I recommend you to put the gradient layer on top of layers.
Ok i see thanks. So in your case you used the rubber on the motion blur two times to get this effect.

can this possible in illustrator
it is possible with warp tool but would be in vector which means not get efficient like in photoshop

@@twincitiz6046 since the blending layers is both available for photoshop and illustrator, so it's easier to apply gradient map if you have your premade .abr files
