Hi thanks for the comment. I would personally use one of the 4x4 drivers waiting at the entrance to the wadi. You can book in advance - instagram.com/dadan_ksa1/. If you have a good 4X4 car such as Landcruiser, Jeep or Nissan Patrol then you'l be ok. Anything else will struggle. There aren't many places to hire these cars in KSA. They really want you to stay on the roads and not go off roading. It's best to hire a guide with a 4X4 who knows the area well to avoid getting in to bad situations. But you can hire a standard car in KSA no problem. Again, best to book in advance. You can do loop from Tabuk - al Disah - Al Ula and then back to Tabuk. It was around 3-4 hours. I've done both trekking in Uganda and Rwanda and it was the roughly the same amount of time. But it really does depend on where the gorillas are that will determine how long the trek will be. It's different for all groups every day. Hope that helps.

It's a lot of money for Rwanda. The Gorilla trek permit is $1500. For Uganda and Congo the permit is much cheaper.

Uganda is just 800USD in two national parks ie Bwindi Impenetrable national park and Mgahinga Gorilla N.p

I've done the Gorilla trek in Bwindi and it's just as good as Rwanda. Quite challenging in places but well worth it for the experience. Also, Uganda offers a wider safari experience than compared to Rwanda with game drives in Queen Elizabeth national park and Chimpanzee trekking in Kalinzu Central Forest Reserve.

Hi, thanks for the comment. I didn't find it to be all that expensive especially if you decide to camp along the beach and already have the gear. The hotel at Kingfisher bay can be quite expensive but there are much cheaper options along 75 mile beach. Hope that helps!

Hi. I was already resident in Saudi Arabia and my drone was registered with their aviation authorities. If you visit with a drone it may be held at customs. Maybe you can get prior approval before travelling.

You just have to be polite but also determined to get the gear on the plane. It's expensive equipment and can't be put in to the hold/cargo area.

The gorilla trek can be many hours if the animals are deep in to the forest. Maybe only two hours if they are closer.
