Nice!! I know that spot, there has been many huge halibut pulled out of there. Awesome job!
DON'T TELL ANYONE WHERE IT IS ‼️ALL THESE IDIOTS COME OUT FROM NOWHERE AND PRETTY SOON THE PLACE IS PACKED WITH IDIOTS FISHING... THAT'S WHY OUR PLACES ARE GETTING SO FISHED OUT AND SO MANY PEOPLE COMING OUT AND FISHING IN OUR SPOTS LEAVING THEIR TRASH ON TOP OF EVERYTHING ELSE 👎👎❗‼️‼️‼️😡😡😡😡
Where in long beach is this...?.. good catch bro..I recently caught a good size one on cabrillo beach on the pv side. Like a 26 incher Halibut🤌🏽🤌🏽
Caught a 21” halibut yesterday, a lil too short. Cool talks yesterday by the bridge.
Dang so close...just keep going and you'll get it. Good meeting you.
You ever throw live bait at that spot?
@@mackjones8409 I haven't...but I have seen bait fish near the rocks. I might try it next time I go.
@@mikesletsgofishingchannel8600 I'm just getting in to it and can tell u SABIKI #3 by Hayabusa with Artesano bread not on the actual hook but on the line a few inches away seems to work best, no luck with the umbrella net I bought but it's fun, and of course gotta get a pump and 5gal bucket
For anyone asking this Alamitos beach jetty just look up shorline marina fuel dock
Nice Halibut bro! I have a secret spot in Huntington Beach/ bolsa chica that I'd catch around 5-20 halibut a day (mostly under 22") though. At evening I'd switch it up to dropping the live smelt by the rocks and catching a lot of spotted bay bass. Live smelt bait are plentiful there as well. For me live bait is the best when dragging it on the sand. Subbed!
where is the spot
@@ilovemywife2685 let’s be friends.. lol
He said secret spot😂😂😂😂. Ok
Forsure talking about the nature reserve lmao😂
Can I get the location in long beach please I want to try out this spot ?? Love your videos

i was just gonna ask that, is there a halibut spot near terminal island?
Awesome. Yeah I’ve had luck with those in the surf. Nice fish 👍🏻🦵🏻🦨🗑️🔥💪🏻 🤙🏻
Yeah Boi haha. Good fish. Thank you for showing the rig. I know of this rig but haven’t yet tried it out. Definitely giving it a try this weekend. Great intel, dope catches. Cool. 👍🏻🦵🏻🦨🗑️🔥💪🏻 🤙🏻
Always wanted to fish the break wall in the yak. Do you just launch from the Long Beach marina? Some good tasty fish in the bag. Especially the sculpin. Nice job brotha. 👍🏻🦵🏻🦨🗑️🔥💪🏻 🤙🏻
Yup near 72nd St. And I liked the sand bass better than the sculpin. And it is a mission going out to the break wall and back.
@@mikesletsgofishingchannel8600 Thanks for the warning. I need the workout lol 🤙🏻
@@mikesletsgofishingchannel8600 you launch at Davies launch?
Nope...just one of the side streets into the harbor side.
@@mikesletsgofishingchannel8600 Cool. Appreciate it. Tough going to a new spot. On the map there’s a lot going on. Can get really confusing. Between Alamitos Bay, the river and then over by seal beach.
Cool. Caught many halibut on the Krocodile in the surf. Such a cheap lure at Walmart but it produces monsters. Cool video. Dig the action. 👍🏻🦵🏻🦨🗑️🔥💪🏻 🤙🏻
No keeper but pretty good action. I’m curious of the lucky craft set up. This is just Like a bouncer ball for live bait? You just drop it straight down or give it some distance so it will drag? Dope video. Always a lot to learn here. 👍🏻🦵🏻🦨🗑️🔥💪🏻 🤙🏻
@@Stellarbaits yeah just like live bait bounce ball rig... It's difficult to get the leader size... because of speed, current, weight of the lure..ect.
Very nice catch! One day I will snag a big one like that. One day…😊
Nice job, bud! Love the sounds of fishing - especially the singing drag!
Yeah...one of the best sounds.
That’s a tough spot but the right call. Chonker lizard fish 😂 Here in San Diego 30 years ago many people caught some big ones. Some probably over 20 inches. But people unanimously seemed to hate them and wound up throwing them on the ground and stomp them to death. Never understood that. But anyway nice job, cool video. There’s that yellow jig head again. Definitely gonna make some of these before the next outing. 👍🏻🦵🏻🦨🗑️🔥💪🏻 🤙🏻
Cool. At least the batray are a good tug. Just caught onto your channel today. Already got several ideas from watching your stuff. Appreciate you sharing and giving details on your baits and techniques. I’m half way curious about the power director logo in the bottom right corner. I use power director but never seen this before. Maybe a mobile thing? Anyway cool video showcasing your versatility, great catches and thanks for the tips. 👍🏻🦵🏻🦨🗑️🔥💪🏻 🤙🏻
@@Stellarbaits you got it!!! Thanks for watching. The power director shows up sometimes. My wife set it up for me and I do edit on my phone.
Crazy being on those rocks in sandals lol 😆 What a bruiser. Interesting choice in Jig head color. Gonna have to try this. Sik action and a monster Hali. Cool 👍🏻🦵🏻🦨🗑️🔥💪🏻 🤙🏻
@@Stellarbaits yeah this was a fun one. My brother and I were not planning on going on the rocks but we got blown out early on the shore. And the jig head was what I had at the moment. And whenever I catch a lifetime fish I "retire" the lure and glue it to the picture frame of the fish and me!
Cool. Nice Chonker Giant. And Goodonya for not netting the lil guy. Appreciate the effort to keep those tails in tact until they grow up. Dope catch brotha 👍🏻🦵🏻🦨🗑️🔥💪🏻 🤙🏻
@@Stellarbaits thanks dude. Catching those big ones is fun!!!!
Way to go !!!
@@Pishing805 thanks!!!
Man I try and get halibut always come up empty handed , been to this spot and a bunch of others . Nothing there when I fish apparently
Nice catch!
Thank you.
Awesome job! One of my favorite spot to fished.

Man thats another great fish! I love that spot as well, do you have any recommended tide times you like for fishing there?
@@HennyFishing thanks I appreciate it. Incoming seems to work for me.
Nice halibut. I don’t eat fish from any harbor in So Cal, especially Long Beach/Los Angeles harbors. The toxins accumulate in the fish… and people who eat them.
all about moderation. You probably shouldn't eat it everyday, just like french fries or cereal.
Also, halibut aren't on list of contaminated fish
Is the catch safe to eat? Being so close to shore? In the LBC
@@RayBan-x8u I've ate the keeper every time...I'm okay so far.
Nice 👍😎
@@Ralph-h3f thanks!!!!
Where in long Beach?
It’s not respectful to just ask for location, we can’t just freeload, searching is the critical part of the game. He’s video has exposed everything regardlessly, do some homework on google map you will see exactly where this was.
The key to fish this spot is to go before all the methheads and drunks show up and set their busted ass rods all over lol
@@timothymorales6048 Really?
@@S2KPHD ohh yea. If you know you know lol
Any bonito biting?
@@kevinduong7674 no bonito...I did try early morning... I saw some boils but they were just barracuda.
Hell yeah Mike, good shit 🙌🏾
@@FishingWithJRome thanks dude!!!!!!!
Congrats on an inland monster. Btw, do you need an ocean enhancement license on the jette?
@@S2KPHD thanks dude!!! Some Jetties you don't. This one I do not know. But best to get one anyways.
New to socal, what jetty is this? I've been to many in Long Beach but not familiar with this one
I'm proud of you!
Danke... Wifey.
Which soft bait you using? I got some zoom paddle tail flukes white ice wondering if yours are the same.
Yup same thing. Make sure it's slow and low!!!
I haven't been down there in about a year, but it's good to see many angler catching nice size halibut down there.🤙
@@BMRFISHING thanks again dude!!!
What gear were you using? The fishing rod and setup?
Catana Shimano C3000HG Reel w/ 25lb braid 15lb flouro leader. And a Bass Pro Shop Special 7'0" Rod
I’ve lost one at that same spot early morning fishing on my own couldn’t land it, those rocks are hard to land those halibuts with no help 🥲🥲

Hello! I have to ask you. I recently arrived from Russia and now live in southern California. I really want to go fishing on the ocean from the shore, but I don’t know how to assemble the gear. In Russia, I fished with donks, that is, a sliding feeder at the end of two short leashes with hooks. I haven’t fished with spinning at all, but here I want to master this type of fishing. If you have the opportunity, please record a short video, show how your gear is assembled, exactly how you knit sinkers and hooks in what order, and the like. Thank you very much in advance!
