You guys still don’t know that hell is Sheol and death is sleep? You’re believing in the fable of hell but you think people will be let out of it? - All you have to do to solve this debate is accept the definition of Sheol as oblivion. - Laz and the rich man is a parable. The book of revelation speaks of seeing souls figuratively in a vision. The transfiguration was a vision according to Jesus. - There are no dead people living in heaven or hell. Death is sleep until the resurrection. - In the words of Justin Martyr: dialogue with Trypho chapter 80. “For if you have fallen in with some who are called Christians, but who do not admit this [truth], and venture to blaspheme the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob; who say there is no resurrection of the dead, and that their souls, when they die, are taken to heaven; do not imagine that they are Christians, even as one, if he would rightly consider it, would not admit that the Sadducees, or similar sects of Genistæ, Merista, Galilæans, Hellenists, Pharisees, Baptists, are Jews (do not hear me impatiently when I tell you what I think), but are [onlyl called Jews and children of Abraham, worshipping God with the lips, as God Himself declared, but the heart was far from Him.” - As you can see… if you think you remain conscious and your soul goes to heaven when you die… you’re not a Christian, you’re in a cult, according to Justin Martyr. - It’s very unfortunate to see “universalists” writing as if the fables of the devil are true.

Hell doesn't exist. That is a man made idea that spread like wildfire to idiots. False Christianity spreads the false belief of hell. The word hell in the Bible when originally recorded meant tomb or pit not a place of fire where Satan tortures everyone after they die lol that is silly. If hell in fact existed that implies God is working in harmony and collaborating in cooperation with the devil agreeing to a deal to torment people lmao. Crazy world. By believing this false teaching you are undoubtedly going against God himself. Revelations in regards to the lake of fire is symbolic not literal. It literally tells you in the beginning of Revelations

There are many big flaws with this argument. Let me point out one glaring flaw. We do not know that the universe could have been any other way, but if we are going to assume there are a huge amount of ways it could have been and that the way it is, has been somehow randomly picked out of those, we should also be honest and realize that for each of these possible universes there is also a way god could have been as to want such a universe. If the universe we live in is fine tuned in the case of naturalism, god is precisely as fine tuned in the case of theism. As such, nothing is gained probabilistically by arguing for a god, without special pleading.

There is overwhelming scholarship on this topic and it was THE view of scholars, second temple Jews and early church fathers. Commentaries as late as the 1800’s held this view.. it is the later Catholic Church fathers that corrupted this view. Paul, Peter, and Jude either vote or allude to this view. The argument against this view is from silence in the Bible. This is a weak argument. The overwhelming scholarship on this topic points to a conclusion that makes sense and one that explains so many questions in the old and New Testaments. However, this is not a salvation issue. You can believe the Sethian view and still be saved. So we will have to agree to disagree.

I once had problems believing in Nephilim because elohim are spiritual beings where comes the sperm. As I progressed i began to realize in the scripture some walked the earth with human form. Well i thought God did not give them the perogative of procreation...did he? Then I had to wrestle with Jude and Peter who talked about them leaving their station and are now bound in chains awaiting execution of judgement...well what did they do. The bible doesn't tell us or does it. I note that the most high is spirit yet begat in Mary a child. Did the spirits trangress by doing what is abominable and fathering children with mankind. The book of Enoch states that is exactly what happened. Well Enoch is Apocryphal but Jude and Peter seem to have read it. Back in the day when I thought it was not possible i always wondered where came these supernaturally large people and why through the annals of scripture is God intent on wiping them out. They.. the children of the ones who transgressed... oppose God and are intent on wiping out his people. If you use one scripture or one event to form theology you invariably run into the ditch for as scripture says no scripture is of private interpretation. That is scripture must be interpreted through all scripture concerning it.

God always allows room to believe or not believe. This is part of the test. We are on the threshing floor. The old testament as we Christians call it ,is full of parallels of Jesus. Isaac was one of them. Isaac's birth was a miracle. His name indicates that as it means laughter. Who laughs when they hear Jesus was born of a virgin? Why do they doubt the power of The Most High? Is anything impossible for The LORD? Joseph was going to leave Mary since she was already pregnant but he stayed. Why? He was told in a dream. How many of us believe our dreams are real by the light of the day? Joseph was there when Jesus was born. I dont know if you can tell if a woman was a virgin when her child was born. Joseph would know. It must have been convincing enough that he would believe the other dreams to flee to and return from Egypt. Gematria- letters to numbers. "Isaac" in simple english gematria is 33. How old was Jesus when he died? 33 in Strong's Concordance Greek means "Come!" The Jews were waiting for someone to come, right? I just found this as I was looking things up for this comment. The word "Come" in Greek is Aye which is transliterated (Not translated) to the letters "Age." Hmm. Interesting. Isaac was to be a sacrifice of his Father but Abraham said that God would provide the sacrifice or burnt offering. That is what Jesus was- a sacrifice from The Father that was provided by God Himself. Some of these things you've never heard before. I am nobody. Im about to lose my house, but I was told several years ago in a dream, "Thomas, because you doubt so much I want you to take My word to My people." I begged for a sign in my dream. I was awakend at that instant to a sign. It was the morning of the saturday sabbath. I try to keep them. Im not Jewish so I dont know if I do it right but it is a commandment. No work on that day. Move from the coasts. I had one wakeful spoken vision. In the middle of the night I prayed for forgiveness. As I was getting up from the floor I was told by my voice on my head, "Go back down. I have something to show you." I saw fire before my eyes. I saw red lava flying through the sky. Then I saw what looked like a satellite view of an island. He said, "I will divide it. One side to the East. One side to the West." I scoffed as I rose up from the floor. "Without a sign this is not My LORD speaking to me." He said angrily, "Look at your watch!" It was 2:45. I was terrified! I was looking for that number before going to bed in the Japanese earthquake of 2011. I thought that God wouldnt destroy a city without a prophet or a warning. There was a warning. 3 Hebrew days earlier there was a 7.3 earthquake at 2:45 UTC. Is this YOUR warning? There is much more. Ask me and I will tell you. Nobody ever asks. The last "Coincidence" that happened was I was listening to Revelation in my car. I was waiting at a light behind traffic. It got to Revelation 6 when I heard the first, "Come and see." I looked up. The car in front of me had a bumper sticker that read, "Come and see." I've never seen those bumper stickers before nor since. The first horse was white. 33 means "Come." I think it's time to get oil for our lamps.I guess I should say this too. A few weeks at about the same place in the road something else happened. I had just started to listen to biblical things in the car again. I wondered how youtube prophets hear from God what seems like every day. They must be more special than Abraham. I wondered how many times God spoke to Abraham so I listened to a youtube video about God speaking to Abraham. As I was driving I thought I saw my oldest son standing at a bus stop. So I had to turn right several times to pass the bus stop again to pick him up. I stopped. It wasnt him. The young man asked me what I wanted. I told him I thought he was my son. I asked if he wanted a ride. He was just going down the road a couple of miles. I had paused the video before I rolled my window down. He got in. I introduced myself. His name is Isaac! I drove him to his destination. I was at work and wondered why this happened. I was listening to an old Art Bell program as I wondered this. I said that this was an empty sign since there was no meaning. I said to myself, "What could this be a sign of?" At that instant just like in a conversation and hearing me Art said, "A sign of transition." I dont know. A transition of what? I say these things because they arent for me to keep private. By the way the island to be divided looked like the big island of Hawaii. I believe it is Revelation 8:8. Many signs that it is. Ask me and I will tell you. No one ever asks. I cant keep it private. Look up what happens when the watchman does not sound the warning.

Another possible solution to the Question of "How can 1 being posses 3 centers of consciousness ?", is "entanglement". Grounding for this idea can be in 1 Corinthians 2:11 when Apostle Paul points to the relation of the Holy Spirit and God, to be akin to that of the Spirit of Man, and the Man in relation to thoughts. So it might be that we have thee eternal consciousness entangled with each other. So we can think of God as a perfect three-fold entangled inter-subjective being. This gives us a coherent model of One God, three person compatible with the scriptures but not in conflict with our experiences and intuitions.

This guy is completely ignoring the original text in it's language and translation. That's why Heiser's view is so convincing. He got his PhD in ancient languages lol. He shows very clearly the Bible does INTERNALLY point to his views.

God hates the Chinese, he willed them to hell. So why bother taking the gospel to them? Calvinism is evil, God is not evil

What motivates him are the belief in freewill and the urge to live on in the afterlife, anyone who doesn't want this, will be predisposed to go for the other positions, funny how what we want/like shapes our positions, which we then support with logic, both atheist and theists do this (Hume was right afterall on this, reason follows the passions) Btw, I agree with him, we have freewill (nonlibertarian tho), we are responsible for what we do, we believe in the afterlife for (1) justice for the wronged, and (2) we don't want to die and be annihilated.

I use the distinction between worshipped gods (gods supported by religions) and non worshipped gods (generally deistic indifferent non omni gods). I'm atheist for the former and agnostic for the latter

The question of worship-worthiness is genuinely interesting. John Buck used it in his case against Hinduism, and (I think) David Chalmers used it in his case against theism in Reality 2.0

@@EmersonGreen I think that it was used in G H Sobel's Logic and Theism as well, where he argued that nothing is worthy of worship

Do u believe in a god (supported by religion or not)? if yes, you’re atheist. If no, theist. There is no in between with belief
