What is that arrow shaped part where it seems like it is designed to stick the line in when not in use? Is it for that reason or something else?
it IS designed to stick the line when not in use
Can I order online only the drag part because mine is spoiled
Nice explanation sir....
As he is talking, I keep thinking he is about to do a Christopher Walken impression with, "I need more fish bail"
Isn't instant anti reverse referring to the small amount of movement ( reversing ) of the handle in some reels when you pull on the line
Thank you for the video!
You can control a fighting fish far better when using anti reverse than just relying on the drag/clutch very popular in the UK, not only Carp anglers but example Pike anglers, Cat fish etc. Well done a useful explanation.
Illuminate the anti-reverse and lower the price of the real.
The anti-reverse gives the angler more of a feel for fighting the fish. Rather than just letting the drag take the run an angler can control how much the fish is running or not running.
Spot on!
One of the best explanations I have seen on UA-cam, thanks 👍🏾
Wow, thanks!
I just bought shimano nexave 4000hg, is it normal that it has no anti reverse?
What's a good reel with anti reverse under $100? My cheap reels get tangled every 20 minutes
Pflueger president
Thank you for the video, I have recently noticed that my fishing like is not going into the bail properly and has caused the line to rub on the part that holds the bail staring to cut through it. Any tips?
Thanks

Excellent video, simple but covers exactly what needs to be learned about this device. Thank you.
Nice reel 😍😘 and also the explanation.
I have caught a lot of fish and never felt the need to have my reel handle spin backwards.
Yeah just adjust the drag, I've never used reverse or even thought about it.
Salute sir
I feel like less of a fishing dummie now.
Thank you good sir!
So beautifull
Very informative, thanks a lot.
Excellent my bro

It will be highly appreciated if you can please elaborate on drag capacity of a particular reel
Good stuff
Has anyone mentioned you sound like Christopher walken. 😁
Y my spool is rotating fast when dragging
How do I know how much line comes in when I turn the handle? Penn fierce 3 4000
Thank for the explanation it really help me understand as a beginner.
Completely pointless and retarded feature.
Great video! Thanks for the very useful information. Looking forward to more of your videos.
Thanks bro ..
Helpful! I am not too familiar with spinning reels (I learned to fish throwing bait casters) and I just bought a spinning reel with anti reverse for an ultra light setup.
Were should I place this drag knob loose medium full tight before using reply me
Neither too loose nor too tight. Ideally, you only want the drag to only release line when a big fish pulls hard, so that you avoid breaking your line.
My all time favorite, no hassle knot when fishing for blue gill using ultra light tackle,
Yes, it's a great knot for that. What kind of bait are you using?
Thanks for the good and clear explanation, i subbed to your channel,
Awesome - thanks for the sub!
If the drag is set too tightly, just loosen it. No need to mess with reverse mode.
Yes, I do it that way myself. But there are some people who like to use the reverse mode. I heard that some carp anglers in the UK use the reverse function to fight fish, and manage to land plenty of big fish like that.
Haha, well, I think it’s unnecessary but I guess some people find it useful.
Its not called how to fish. Its called spinning reel anti reverse explained. Some people also know how to fish but never knew what that was for. Great video well explained.( I was one of them people lol)
They do!.@@grantmu2044
Im struggling on knowing what gear ratio should i use for freelining live shrimp on the jetties. What gear ratio do you recomend?
Well, you won't need a very high ratio since you're not doing high speed lure retrieval, so I would suggest a medium speed gear ratio around 5.1:1.
